Hebrews 12:22-29
Striving to continue with a heart of thanks this Monday morning. Because no matter what the day holds, our God is still on the throne. #withthanksjournal #biblereadingplan
1 Thessalonians 5:12-17
Many years ago, I had the privilege of recording a video for the church Christmas program. I quoted this verse and as I look back, I knew the Word in my head, but I was still trying to live it out in my heart. I wanted to give thanks, but I was at war within myself.
How do you give thanks in terminal diagnosis? Day by day, for years upon years, I have chosen to give thanks to God for blessings. But the gift of gratitude truly arrives when we praise God and thank Him for not only what He has done for us, but for Who He is. I’m thankful to God because He is eternal. He never changes. He loves me and gave Himself for me.
This morning I’m especially thankful that He loves my children even more than I do. It is in the day by day choice to get to know Him more that my heart is truly filled with thanks, no matter my circumstances.
How will we deepen our relationship with Jesus today?

Jeremiah 22:1-11
When we believe God for Who He is, then we can thank Him for His future work in our hearts and lives!
Father, thank you. Thank you for loving me, for providing for me, for Who You are and your plan for the future. Help me embrace today as a love offering of thanks to You. #withthanksjournal #biblereadingplan
Psalm 106:1-5
Didn’t sleep last night. Our Taylor could not get comfortable and it was a rough night for Tay, Daddy and myself. But the first thing when I opened my phone to share the #withthanksjournal this morning was this quote by an unknown source. We can do this! Amen? #biblereadingplan
Psalm 28:1-7 and 2 Corinthians 9:6-15
What precious reminders for the last day of this month’s #withthanksjournal !
Father, thank you. Without your strength and power, I couldn’t make it through another day. Make today all you would have it be by empowering me to do your will and infusing me with your strength anew. Amen.
