Hey there Bible Challenge Readers! Hopefully you are still reading, regardless of where you are in the Bible reading plan! I plan to offer a survey next Friday to get a little feedback from you to determine how we can set the same goal next year and keep it. So be thinking about ways that might help you with accountability or whatever other feature you feel would benefit your reading. For today, I’d love it if you could leave a comment telling us how it’s going!

Today I’m so privileged to share with you the Relax and Reclaim event from last Friday at my church! The video includes the message only and not the worship events of the evening. Also we experienced a beautiful dessert buffet after the event and I can’t exactly share that with you. However, I’m sending virtual loads of chocolate, cheesecake and gourmet coffee to you as you watch the video. The video is approximately 40 minutes long. So if needed, go grab some laundry to fold while you’re listening. Oh and you can’t see the family photo I referred to at the beginning, so I thought I would post it here:

Could I encourage you to print out the names of God from yesterday’s post or at least have them up on the screen as you watch the video? Click here for yesterday’s post.

Have a fabulous Friday!

Addendum: I’ve already gotten a request for the song at the end of the service. My husband sang and I can’t tell you how God used his voice in an incredible way. But here’s the Steven Curtis Chapman version.

  1. Spent time this evening relaxing and reclaiming who I am as a child of God. Thank you for sharing your video of the event from last week. Loved hearing how your story and how you claimed the names of God as your own to help you through pivotal points in your life. This was the next best thing to being there! Happy Sunday to you!

  2. …and! Thank you so much for the different names of God. I’ve copied them all and I’m brainstorming of a cool way to display them in my home!

  3. Hi! I love what you have! I enjoy getting a little encouraging devotional before I do my bible reading for the day. I like that I don’t HAVE to play catch up. If I want to dig a little deeper, I’m doing bible study reading and homework, or I don’t make my quiet time a priority that day 😛 I just remember that His mercies are new every morning, open up with the reading for that day and dig in!

  4. Hi Rachel, I haven’t commented in a long time, but I am still with you on the Bible reading plan. Using YouVersion really helps me to know where I am at and I am also able to listen to the Bible when I do not have time to read it. This is the second year in a row that I will have read the entire in a year. Next year I would like to slow it down a bit. I am thinking about a two or three year plan so I have time to meditate more on what I am reading. Not sure if that helps.
