I know that feeling. You want to encourage someone, whether it’s a friend, neighbor or co-worker, but you simply can’t think of what you’d like to do. Sometimes time is of the essence and while you’d love to cook Aunt Susie a 4 course meal, that’s simply out of the question for the moment. Today’s list of 50 things to do to encourage someone is the go-to guide for you!
If you’ve been around here long, you know that I truly believe in the power of words. I also strongly believe in putting action behind those words and showing love to folks through tangible acts of kindness.
Sometimes that’s tough to do without a little forethought or planning. And even with planning, sometimes having the time to follow through on the idea can be tough. My goal with today’s 50 things to do to encourage someone list is to give you a resource for your ideas. Whether you need it on the fly or you want to plan ahead, there’s sure to be an idea or two to empower you to follow through on loving someone God places in your path. Here we go!

What great ideas! I’ve already added this to my “Loving Others” Pinterest board.
Even the things that seem “little” to us (like giving a compliment, holding the door, smiling) can make a HUGE impact and change the direction of the recipients day!
Thanks Cyndee! love that you have a board designated for that!
I find when I encourage others I feel so full of love.
me too, Denise!
Very helpful list! And an instant answer to prayer.
Thanks for sharing this great list. I like all of them, but the one that stands out the most to me is about keeping a bag of things inside for someone who’s homeless. I always wish I have some food or something in my car when I see one and I never do. So, keeping a bag is a great idea.
I’ve thought about writing a blog post about the packets we keep for “giving emergencies.” Think it would be helpful?
Yes, useful!
Thank you so much for this list. I am always in need of ideas to lift other up. =)
Wonderful! Thank you. I am going to print this out and keep it on the refrigerator!!!!!!!
Great ideas to help encourage others, sometimes more than we think they need it. If we all do great stuff for each other, the world would be a better place! Thanks for this! Blessings!
I love you my sister. Thank you for always putting a smile on my face with your words of wisdom.
