Do you ever think to yourself

Is that really what God wanted me to do?

Because I so desperately want to follow God’s plan for my life that I get a little…

anxious about it.

Sounds crazy, perhaps.

I mean, doesn’t worrying about whether or not God wants you to do something take the joy out of it?  At least some of the joy?

But really, I know you’ve been there.

You search God’s Word. You pray. You do your best to listen to the Holy Spirit.  And then…

it seems nothing happens.

At least nothing you were expecting.

I suppose these thoughts flow with yesterday’s post, but I just simply want to encourage you:

There are times when God gives us a glimpse of His plan.  Some of the results confirm our steps were a part of His will all along…that we followed through on that opportunity He presented.

And then there are times when we can’t see the forest for the trees.

What I mean is:

God’s Word always gives us a glimpse of His plan for eternity;

we just get so infatuated with one day….or one hour…or one minute of a day…

that we forget about the long haul. The issue of matters that last forever.

Might I encourage you today:

Whatever your next step is,

make it one that counts for eternity.

James 4:14

“whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.”

I know what you mean! When I’m feeling doubt, I ask God to just stop me if I’m not supposed to go forward with whatever the task. Blessings to you! Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Evenin’ Friend,
I was just reminded today of God’s timelessness. I want to sit with Him in that desire tonight, have vision for His big picture, rest… and invite His plan for me to fall into place. Blessings beautiful lady! ~ Amy

  3. May my steps each day count as just that: steps for the Lord, steps that matter for His glory, not mine.
