Looking back on the week always helps me remained focused on how God is speaking to me through his word. Let’s glance back at week 3. Ready?

Romans 8:19-27

"For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies." So much depth to today's passage!! Don't miss it!! #purposefulpause #biblereadingplan #waitingonGod #biblereading“For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. Psalm 25:1-5

Our focus is on the wait; God's focus is on the work happening in the wait. Do you think the psalmist might have been telling the Lord that he would wait to see his glory, even if he had to wait all day? God's word is so personal; soak it up this Sunday! #purposefulpause #biblereadingplan #waitingonGod #biblereading

Psalm 25:6-12

All the paths. I sometimes think God's path of waiting is something unordained or last-minute. Something he just threw out there. But no, waiting is part of his path and it contains his steadfast love and faithfulness, created with your best and his full glory in mind. How beautiful are all his paths! May we recognize it this Monday. #purposefulpause #biblereadingplan #waitingonGod #biblereading

Psalm 25:13-18

I love how the psalmist explains his waiting position in the verse before the one I’ve highlighted here. He says he takes refuge in his God. Lord, may we see your waiting room as the purposeful pause that it is, a refuge, an oasis of rejuvenation and preparation. Amen. Have a terrific Tuesday! #purposefulpause #biblereadingplan #waitingonGod #biblereading

Psalm 25:19-22

It's not natural to think of God's waiting room as protection. But it is out of his mercy and grace. Meditating over this morning's #purposefulpause #biblereadingplan still today. Happy Wednesday! Psalm 31:17-24

Standing in the wait requires strength and courage. Praise the Lord, he is the one who provides it! Have a thriving Thursday!! #purposefulpause #waitingonGod #biblereadingplan #biblereading

Psalm 52:5-9

I will wait. Oh, rushing ahead can seem like a great idea. Pushing forward when the door of opportunity hasn't been opened often results in long term sorrow. Who wants to miss out on God's best? Yes, I will wait for the Lord. Father, may we abide in your love and grace as we learn to enjoy your purposeful pauses. #purposefulpause #waitingonGod #biblereadingplan #biblereadingI will wait.
