If stress is your nemesis and it even interferes with your prayer life, then let Rachel encourage your heart on what to do when you’re too stressed to pray.

Rachel covers three simple ideas you can put into practice when prayer seems just too hard or too much.

  1. Just breathe; God is your oxygen. Job 32:8, Job 33:4, Job 34:14-15
  2. Slow down. “Hurry is the enemy of beauty.” Jennifer Dukes Lee
  3. Rest in his arms. Pray: Jesus, hold me.

Enjoy a prayer to calm stress as Rachel closes this episode.

Dear dear Rachel, once again, God has reminded me of how you started with sharing your own struggles to encourage others with testimony after testimony of God’s love for you meeting you in those places … It’s not exactly that I felt too stressed to pray recently (though am very familiar with having been so, many-a-time!), but I have found myself unable to be still at Jesus’ feet for long. My spirit has been restless … or something!! Your podcast has once again, hit the spot for me.

Thank you for sharing that precious story of the cake & how the Lord enabled you to bake someone’s dad a birthday cake at around the time you probably would’ve been baking your dad one should he still be here ….

God bless you, Rachel, & thank you once again! Xx

    1. Sweet Cecilia. The Lord is with you wherever you go. I’m so glad the podcast blessed you.

Rachel, I really needed to hear this podcast and the ending prayer today, thank you so much for sharing this.. I pray for you and your family to be blessed and stay strong.

    1. Thank you, Debra!! I’m so glad this helped you and that you took the time to let me know. God is gracious.

  3. After a restless night, I began my morning ritual of devotionals. It’s not just any morning, it is the 2nd anniversary of my Dad’s passing and also a 6-mo follow up doctor appointment for myself. There is also a bit of family health news that is weighing heavy on my heart. It is difficult to pray in the midst of these present stresses, so your podcast caught my eye and filled my soul. I do need to be held by Jesus and focus on him today and everyday!
