Friday is here and can you believe we have already completed a week of this month’s Bible reading plan? Wow! The Magnificent Power Bible Reading Challenge Week 1 Summary is certainly one I have enjoyed reviewing. As I was writing today, I was thinking about how incredible God’s Word is. It’s alive and active through his spirit, speaking to our hearts. What a privilege to know God’s power through his Word! Let’s take a glance back at the week of reading, ok?

Job 26:1-6

God provides every breath you take. Imagine what your life means to him? What would it take for you to recognize that God is bigger than anything? Psalm 62:9-12

 

Wednesday evening we had a little scare!! Tristina passed out in the locker room at school and was found by her friend. Hit her head and hip and was disoriented for about 45 minutes. We made it home at 12:30a after the drs were convinced she was doing fine. Need to follow up with cardiologist just to be safe but seems she just overdid it at practice without eating and drinking well. No broken bones, just bruised up. We are blessed and thanking the Lord! However, at one point, I could feel myself completely relying on God for every breath for both myself and Tristina. Squad rides are not fun! (And I’m pretty sure I’ll need to see my hair colorist a week earlier than normal for the expedited gray!) Today’s #godisbiggerjournal questions were easy to answer after the week we’ve had, y’all. So thankful for his #magnificentpower and the #biblereadingplan ! Praying your weekend includes soul restoration!

Job 26:7-14

I can take comfort in the fact that God’s plan is always bigger and better than mine. #onemorestepbook Job’s explanation of God’s power brings me peace because It helps me realize that our minds are not big enough to understand all his ways. Psalm 147:1-9

He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.
He determines the number of the stars;

Psalm 147:10-20

There have been times in my life where I wanted to see God’s power so desperately. I wanted him to move and change a situation. Hoping perhaps he would “show off”, if you will. But many times in the midst of my desire, I was striving to do it my own way. I sought for answers and solutions without respect for the ways of my Lord. This morning I’m humbled by the awesome power of my God, with the full heart understanding that he is BIGGER than anything I face today!!! And he’s the same for you! Job 37:1-5

Job 37:6-13

God’s sovereign power is above our comprehension. We look at situations and circumstances, not understanding his purposes. But when things seem out of control? God is always in control! Job 37:14-24

 

We will never catch up to his unlimited power. Because God is BIGGER than anything. Bigger than the storm. Bigger than cancer. Larger than discouraging circumstances. Towering over critical situations. Bigger than financial crisis. Larger than life itself. The God of the Bible is bigger than anything we face today. Take comfort in his power.
