Jesus Knows Your Name

bible reading challenge day 80

As I read John 10 this morning as part of the Bible Challenge Reading Challenge, I couldn’t help but be drawn in to verse 27:

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

He knows my name. And Jesus knows your name.

It’s been an interesting day here at the Wojo house. Taylor began the day with a seizure just before 6 am and about a half hour ago, ended her day with a seizure.    Watching your daughter suffer is a terrible thing. Honestly, I don’t even like to tell you about it.  I don’t want you to have sympathy or think I’m seeking sympathy or…anything. I frankly just wish the seizures would go away.

But I can always take comfort in God’s Word. No matter my feelings or frustrations.

Today’s comfort is knowing that Jesus knows my name and he knows me. He knows my heart, my needs, my desires, my wants. He loves me unconditionally and wants the best for both Taylor and me.

I just try to write whatever idea God impresses on my heart for you.  And tonight the impression is simple:

When you are God’s child, He not only knows your name.

He knows you.

gods child

He knows your heart, your needs, your desires, your wants. He loves you unconditionally and wants the best for you.

Thank you so much for your willingness to share…to be transparent…your post reminds me of the message of my all time favorite book, “When God Whispers Your Name” by Max Lucado. The Creator of the Universe not only knows my name but knows me…AMAZING!!! Thank you for such a timely reminder. Praying you and Taylor have a peaceful day.

I will pray Jesus heals your daughter just as he healed me! I started having Grand Mal seizures at about 9 mos old. I was on lg. doses of Phenobarbital and STILL had them. One morning (at about 4 or 5 yrs old…. I remember doing this) I came downstairs and told my mother, “Jesus said I didn’t have to take them old pills no more.” I haven’t had a seizure since! The “abnormality in the brain wave” they said was causing them was GONE the next time I was checked. (Although, my spouse might disagree w/those findings…LOL) If He’ll heal me, He’ll heal ANYone!
Lord, You’ve given me this story to share for a reason. I ask that You visit this child, as You did me. Let her carry on the story of Your amazing visit, love and healing! Thank You, Lord, for EVERYTHING! In Jesus’ WONDERFUL, LOVING, HEALING name……. amen…..

It is indeed heartbreaking watching your child suffer. I have prayed many times for the Lord to take my breath and give it to my daughter. Will be praying that tomorrow is a better day.

I was thinking of Lazarus… when Jesus called him. And he arose. He had been prepared for burial. I wonder what Lazarus was thinking when he realized need been considered dead?

please don’t ever feel like you can’t bring your troubles to those of us who love and care about you. You do so much for us. Let us do the very least we can do for you, and that is pray for you and your precious little girl. God Bless You and your family and Taylor.

PS. thank you for the blessing of the What’s in the Bible DVD and CD. I am so excited to share it with my grandsons this weekend.
