Art is inspiring. Uplifting.  Even encouraging.

But the influence of a work of art is not understood at the beginning of its creation.

So when Women of Faith asked:

Do you have a favorite work of art? What about it inspires you?

Then it didn’t take me long to think of this:

This is my soon-to-be first grader’s Ipod artwork.  She’s a sweetheart and when I think of all the art that I have of this caliber….well, it’s a great reminder.

A Reminder that one day I’ll have lots of time to wander through art galleries and not fear that something is definitely going to be broken before we get out of the place….

A Reminder that one day she’ll be all grown up and Ipods will be outdated.  She’ll look back and laugh…

A Reminder that there are seasons to life and it is so important to soak up everything that each one offers…

Essentially a reminder of  Ecclesiastes 3:11

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

Whatever season you’re in, I pray this gorgeous little piece of art inspires you to keep dreaming big, loving hard, and trusting God.

Remembering that only He knows the end result of His handiwork.

  1. Thanks for sharing!
I needed that reminder to stop and enjoy each season in life.
While you are just starting out with a young one, I am nearing a new stage – graduation! I tend to worry more about the future than to just stop and enjoy the ‘now’ trusting that God will show us the way!

Thanks for your Inspiration this morning!

    1. Nikki: Thanks for stopping by! My husband and I actually have a tribe of all ages. 🙂 Tiff’s a sophomore in college this year…and we have a middle schooler…and a third grader…and a first grader….and a kindergartener…and a waddler (walker/toddler). 🙂 So I can understand your next step a bit. Many blessings hoped for you and yours.
