The Monday series, Grace Is For Giving, has been such a blessing to me; and I hope to you as well. This is our last week of the series, though we will continue with the Monday blogger linkup. So far, our grace discussion has been:
Week 1: Grace Begins
Week 2: Grace Saves…and More
Week 3: Grace Reaches
Week 4: The Shape of Grace
Our next 6 week series will begin Jan. 7, 2013 and I’ll be announcing the new series this week, so stay tuned!
And now this week, the summary of the series: Grace Is For Giving.
We’ve discussed much about who needs grace from God this season and I’ve attempted to spur thoughts of who needs grace to flow from you… but to flip the coin for a moment, the real question is:
Who doesn’t need grace?
Everyone needs grace. I need it; you need it.
The world’s greatest gift exchange is man’s sin for God’s grace.
For if the many died by the trespass of the one man (Adam), how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! Rom. 5:15
With God’s grace in us, we possess the gift that truly continues to give.
The challenge is to allow grace to permeate our very being so that we extend God’s grace to others through our behaviors and actions.
The Scripture tells us one of the greatest ways to extend grace toward one another is to pray for one another.
And they will pray for you with deep affection because of the overflowing grace God has given to you. Thank God for this gift too wonderful for words! II Cor. 9:14&15
While we’ve discussed grace all over the place, the verse above from Paul’s words aptly states that there are just no words that describe the gift of grace God has given to us.
With this series closing, today I want to ask you to leave a comment if you’d like prayer for any reason. You don’t even have to state the reason- just leave your name and the word “grace.” God knows the grace you need to receive or give this season and I’d love to pray for you.
And be sure to check out all the encouraging bloggers who link up each week!
Rachel, I’d like to ask prayer for one of my dearest friends who just found out last night that her husband is having an affair. She is devastated and grieving and I’d love for you to lift her up with me–praying for God’s grace to pour down in her life. Her name is Pam. Thanks so much for this encouraging post and for the link up!
Beth, I entered her name in my prayer journal. I know those feelings. Bless you Girl.
Thank you for your time in doing this blog and the different studies you do! Thanks for your prayers for my family as well!!
Hi Rachel,
Thanks for this series!!! I came in on the tail end of it, but have been really challenged by it. It has seemed that at every turn I have had grace come up in something that I have read or heard. I have really been challenged to give grace to those around me – not only in the way that I act towards them, but also in my mind – how I think about them and react to certain situations in my mind. This is not something that I will quickly forget! I’m now looking forward to the next series to see what you have to challenge me!
Many thanks 🙂
OH I can relate. Grace and more grace. Yes on the thought patterns- challenging stuff! Bless you, Diana!
