Hey there! Monday is here again. The last week has passed slowly and yet has flown by at the same time. You know that feeling? It’s easy to get caught up in daily tasks and fail to follow through on commitments similar to the Bible Reading challenge. I’m behind on the four chapters a day. But I’ll catch up!

Remember our point of the reading challenge- to read the love letter from the Creator who desires a personal relationship with each of us. Don’t worry about where you are. Just stay focused on reading each day and enjoying every moment you can in God’s Word!  Yes, I preach to myself. More often than you know.

It’s time to encourage one another! Leave a comment and let us know how the Bible Reading Challenge is going for you. Are you behind? Right on? Reading all four chapters in one sitting or a little here and a little there?

Be sure to encourage someone else! Have a great day!

Rachel

  1. I just finished my reading for today. 😉 then it popped into my head that I had forgotten to check in on Monday! I’m doing good. Sundays are hard for me. Sounds silly but we attend church morning and evening on Sunday and the day goes by quickly. Monday mornings I’m able to catch up. I really love the Olive Tree app with the 4 readings a day. Rachael thanks for all your encouragement! I also encouraged by all of the comments from my sisters in Christ!

    1. Actually, Fiona, I know what you mean about Sundays! The day just passes by so quickly with taking care of my family all day and yes, church services, that the time seems to vanish. Then it’s time to prepare for another week. I’m so glad you’re still reading!! 🙂 🙂

  2. I am so proud of all of you!!! Mondays and Tuesdays are the busiest days of the week for me schedule-wise but I read all of your comments last night! God is gracious!

I am behind…but catching up. One week I am on target and the next behind. Sometimes I can only get one chapter a day like many others and then another time I can get many. It is my goal to get through it completely and to be quiet and let it sink in too.

  4. Way to go to all of you! I actually was trying to just read through on my own…I have since signed on to a 6 month plan from you version…this way it will leave room for grace if I miss a day. I am not going to give up! I have not read through my Bible in a long time. The past 5 years or so I have just been choosing Scripture verses or passages from Bible studies or other stirrings to my heart. I am realizing that accountability is extremely helpful! God bless us as we read His story, His Word, His promises to us!

  5. I’m savoring what I’m reading, but I’m a little behind again. I’m in the book of Exodus, and I’m fascinated by the precision by which God commanded the Israelites to build the tabernacle. I do have to be honest that I skim through some of the materials being used, but I’m trying to find something in each chapter to highlight. Thanks again for the accountability!

  7. Right on track! Really like the Olive Tree app as it marks the place I got to and then picks up the next day. Thanks for the suggestion!

  8. I read when my baby kicks and wiggles at 5am. It is quiet (except for his cooing) and I have nothing else demanding my attention at that hour. It is so great to get into the Word daily!

I printed out the schedule. I have adapted it since I am reading a Psalm or Proverb a day. Still reading 4 chapters a day. Of course, I get up an hour before my child in order to have my quiet time with God at the beginning of the day. I have been going to bed earlier recently also! 🙂

  10. I am current finally. I found out if I have it emailed to me I know I will read it. Having emails in my inbox drives me nuts. I like to see it all read and emptied. LOL

  11. LOL-oops-Olive TREE!!!

  12. LOVE to read all 4 in 1 sitting but occasionally (esp. on weekends) have to read a little here and a little there. And, I am glad the Olive Leaf App makes it so easy to pick back up where I left off! I have really been moved and inspired by reading Joseph’s story again…so good…

  13. Mondays do come quickly!! So far so good with the Bible reading challenge. I find that I read the four chapters most days but allow myself grace when I don’t get to it and then catch up the next day. The best part is digging into God’s Word and learning more about His promises for our lives. I will just end that I’m so thankful I am not in a season of life like Job. My challenges are minor compared to his and feel very blessed no matter what that God will always be with me. Keep on reading Bible study girls (men)! We can do it!

  14. sometimes i read 3 passages in one sitting, other times i break them up between jobs at home. Sometimes i read only one because God and i have gotten carried away with what ever has come up from the reading…
