Bible Reading Challenge Check-in

books to read fall wide

Hey there, Friends! Welcome to Monday and the Bible Reading Challenge check-in. We have 5 more Monday check-in’s together before this year is complete! Wow, I can hardly believe it.

So how is your Bible reading going? Let me encourage you that even if you do not complete reading through the Bible this year, the focus for our weekly Monday reading check-in is to encourage one another to read each day. Doesn’t matter how much or how little.

To be honest, I’m still praying about what to do for the Bible reading challenge for next year. For the last two years, I have made it my goal to read four chapters a day using the M’Cheyne reading plan. This plan finishes the Bible in one year. But for next year, I believe the Lord is leading me to break the reading down into a smaller amount of reading per day. Stay tuned for an announcement about a new plan that will begin in January!

Have a marvelous Monday!

Rachel

I thank you Rachel for your comments on not finishing all of the reading this year. I have been reading a bit more to catch up. I so wanted to finish all of the reading. If I don’t, I will remember your words and also remember that each day’s reading have been a blessing to me. Thank you!

Still sticking with my morning routine and plugging away at the four chapters a day and trying to catch up 🙂 I’m going to keep going after the first of the year, thank you for the encouraging words about just holding each other accountable and getting into the Word each day. Also gives me quiet time to focus on prayer a little more too!

My reading completely fell apart this year. I really enjoyed the way the reading plan is set up and definitely want to try it again, but I am very excited to see which one you have that will involve a slower study reading plan!

I totally understand, but I’m glad you are looking forward to the fresh start! 🙂
