31 Bible Verses on Joy- includes free printable verse cards!

Today is the last day of the January Bible reading challenge, Pure Joy. What a wonderful season of cultivating a happy heart and discovering joy! I wanted to share a thank-you gift with you, my readers, as a celebration of completing this challenge! Below you will find a free printable with 31 Bible Verses about Joy. These verse cards were created from the Pure Joy Bible Reading Plan & Journal and can be used in numerical order to accompany the Bible reading plan.

What to do with 31 Bible verses about Joy

These Bible verse cards can be used in so many ways as joy reminders!

Check out the following ideas:

  • Place them in your nightstand to review at night before going to bed.
  • Hole-punch the corner and keep them on a key ring for easy reference.
  • Color them and give them away as a gift of joy reminders.
  • Screenshot each card and create a Joy memory verse photo album on your smartphone.

When I think over Bible verses about joy, I’m in awe of how we have just begun to scratch the surface of what the Bible says about choosing joy, especially through trials. While I’d love to dive deeper into this topic in the future, right now you’ll find the first few verses listed below. Then at the end of the post, you’ll find instructions on how to get the free printable set of 31 Bible verses about joy.

So also you have sorrow now,
but I will see you again,
and your hearts will rejoice,
and no one will take your joy from you. John 16:22

Weeping may tarry for the night,
but joy comes with the morning. Psalm 30:5b

Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter
of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross,
despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

You have put more joy in my heart
than they have when
their grain and wine abound. Psalm 4:7

For he will not much remember the
days of his life because
God keeps him occupied with joy in his heart. Ecclesiastes 5:20

blossom like the crocus;
It shall blossom abundantly
and rejoice with joy and singing. Isaiah 35:1-2

I’m not the best with a pair of scissors, but I was curious as to how they would look without the black line around them. I like them better WITH the border. 🙂
