Welcome to the Light Bible reading challenge week 3 summary! If this is your first time here, each month our community reads through a topical Bible reading plan together. Each week, I compile a summary of our readings so that we can review them. This month we are reading through The Light Bible reading plan. We review weekly so we can retain what we are learning as we study God’s Word each day. I love how the Lord meets each of us individually in the time we spend with him!! I’m truly enjoying the way our Facebook community is sharing their growth and prayers together! Check out the last week of Scripture below.
Luke 11:33-36
May those of us with the Light of the world in our hearts reflect it beautifully this day! Have a wonderful Saturday! #thelightjournal #biblereadingplan #biblereading
Isaiah 42:1-9
The Light of the world gives us the opportunity to reflect his light and share it with the world. What will we do with it today? #thelightjournal #biblereadingplan #biblereading
Isaiah 42:10-17
As Mary bounced over the bumps on the road, I wonder if she thought about Isaiah the prophet’s prediction. The Promised One was coming and soon! Yet here she was on the back of a donkey, making her way to pay taxes. Ahhh, but the bumpy ride to Bethlehem was paving the way for prophecy to be fulfilled. The Light of the world came to shine light in the darkness! And he still shines on this Monday morning! Allow him to take you to new heights this week? #thelightjournal #biblereadingplan #biblereading #motivationmonday
John 3:16-21
Truth and light cannot be separated. My prayer for today is that my heart would reflect his light. May we give God all the glory for his works this Tuesday! #thelightjournal #biblereadingplan #biblereading
Isaiah 9:1-7
No matter how dark it may seem in your life right now, the Light of the world longs to shine on your path today! Will you focus on Him? #biblereadingplan #thelightjournal #biblereading
Isaiah 60:1-11
Imagine the joy in Isaiah’s heart as the Lord revealed to him the future glory of Israel! Jesus, the Son of God, would be born as the Light they had waited for. This baby would crack the darkness wide open for the first time since the fall of man. God’s people would lay eyes on their Promised One! And to think his light still shines for you and me today- an inextinguishable flame that will never stop burning for us. May we live with the knowledge of his presence in our lives today!! #biblereadingplan #thelightjournal #biblereading
Isaiah 60:12-22
He never changes. Jesus, the Light of the world, is from everlasting to everlasting God. He cannot be overtaken by depression. He cannot be overtaken by disease. He is not overwhelmed by divorce. He has overcome all darkness, even death! Enjoy the light of his presence in your life today! #thelightjournal #biblereadingplan
What a wonderful week of reading we enjoyed last week! I pray that you continue this week as we finish out the month and move towards the new year!
By his grace,
Rachel
