“What’s in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;”- Shakespeare

My Tristina Rose, age 6, is one of a kind.

Yesterday, Matt, my husband, was working outside and trimmed the rose bush at the side of our house.  While he was working, my sweet girl was following him around, chatting and playing.

From nowhere, as she watched her daddy, she said,

“When I get to Heaven, I’m going to find my grandma and tell her that we have the same middle name.”

Now her grandma in Heaven is my mom, Charlotte Rose, so Matt came in the house, delivering the roses to me and repeated Tristina’s words to me.

“Tristina just told me that when she gets to Heaven, she is going to find her grandma and tell her that they have the same middle name.”

Through tears, my words to Tristina were:

“I don’t think you will have to go looking for her.  She’ll find you first.”

Isn’t that just how our Heavenly Father is?  We don’t have to go looking for Him; He is there all the time, patiently waiting for our hearts to be open to Him.

Luke 15:20 “…But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.”

He’s waiting for you.

What are you waiting for?
