Welcome to the September 2019 One More Step Bible reading plan and journal challenge! If this is your first time here, then I’m so glad to have you!

Have you ever walked a hard road, perhaps one that you’ve walked before, but somehow it seems longer, with more bumps along the way?

I hear ya, Friend. Life is hard. Disease. Depression. Divorce. Discouragement. Despair. Death.

The temptation to quit feels overpowering and a million reasons for why you should just give up loom over your head. You’re facing out-of-control circumstances, total fatigue, and disappearing hope.

There’s sorrow, grief, and agony.

But there is also joy, grace, and relief.

I need new strength for the journey. Since my precious Taylor has graduated to heaven and life continues to move on, I need strong truth reminders to keep going.

I need to remember to replace feelings of despair with the truth of Scripture. I’m always longing for a more intimate relationship with Jesus.

You too? Good. You’re in the right place. What if together we ran to God’s Word when discouragement strikes?

INTRODUCTION

Each month I host a monthly Bible reading plan and journal challenge to help our community enjoy reading God’s Word together and encourage our hearts to be faithful to Him.  Together, we have completed over 35 Bible reading plans, including both annual and monthly reading challenges. I’ve developed all sorts of strategies to help us read God’s word faithfully and there is nothing like this monthly system we are working through together.

ORDER YOUR BOOK NOW!

Many readers have requested that I list our monthly resource at the beginning of this announcement post because you already know you want it and don’t need the details. So here you are!

This month, in addition to the Bible reading, we’re reading through my book, One More Step: Finding Strength When You Feel Like Giving Up. I wrote this book while caring for my special needs daughter, Taylor, who has since gone to be with Jesus. My prayer is that together, we can be reminded that we aren’t running in our own strength. The joy of the Lord is truly our strength.

Check out the details below!

SEPTEMBER 2019 BIBLE READING CHALLENGE

When life’s obstacles get a grip, the hardest thing to do is to keep going, to persevere. We know we need to. We even want to. But trying to figure out what to do or find the strength to do it keeps us from moving forward.

What if you declared, “Not today, Satan!” and you saturated yourself with truths from Scripture to defeat the enemy?

What if you enjoyed a month of baby step reminders to help you gain strength and momentum to follow God’s plan for your life?

What if you leaned in to what Jesus is whispering to your heart and in the end, you gained a more intimate relationship with him?
