Welcome to the No Fear Bible reading plan & journal week 4 summary! If this is your first time visiting, then you’ll want to know that each month I host a Bible reading challenge for our community. We follow the plan together through the daily reading. Each week, we glance back through the passages and review them so that we can retain. You’ll find more details at the end of this article.
This month’s Bible reading challenge on exchanging faith over fear has challenged me especially and uniquely. As my daughter continues to suffer from her neurologically-degenerative disease, MPS, fear lurks daily. The passages this month speak to me personally. I’m continually in awe of Scripture because it truly is the Living Word of God. We read and the Holy Spirit speaks to our hearts. Let’s check out the last week of reading, ready?
Romans 8:9-17
The same power that rose Jesus from the grave lives in us!!! That takes care of Monday, amen?

Hebrews 12:18-29
A kingdom unshakable. When your world’s been rocked, remember your God doesn’t waiver. When hopes and dreams crumble to nothingness, His kingdom work continues. Father, this morning I thank you for being the unshakeable God. I lift up my worship amidst the chaos and confusion because You have a plan. I am in awe of Your steadfast love. When bad things happen, fill my heart with the gratitude for your unshakable kingdom. Let the gratitude transform my fear into awe of You. Thank you, Father. Amen.

Psalm 3:1-8
The Lord sustained me. I can well remember the times in my life that he carried me through. Through loss of love and life. Through disease. Through divorce. Through disappointments. I just don’t know where I would be without Him. As tempting as it is to be fearful and afraid, I long to be like the psalmist today. He who strengthens me will sustain me. He who strengthens you will sustain you. Have a wonderful Wednesday! #biblereading#biblereadingplan #nofear #nofearjournal
Psalm 27:1-5
Though an army encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear;
though war arise against me,
yet I will be confident. (Vs. 3)

Psalm 143:1-6
When there is nowhere to turn and fear grips your heart, cry out to Him. Jesus, we need your courage to walk the desert this day. #biblereadingplan#biblereading #nofear #nofearjournal
Psalm 143:7-12
You may know the two common reactions to fear. Flight or fight. So if you are more of a “flight” kind of person? Remember Who to run to. Have a super Saturday knowing that Spirit will lead you on level ground! #nofear#nofearjournal #biblereading#biblereadingplan
Psalm 23:1-6
The valley of the shadow of death. I wish I could ask the psalmist exactly what he meant by that. Figurative language is beautiful and meaningful, but I have a feeling the depth of this phrase won’t be fully understood until eternity unfolds. “The shadow of death” seems like it wasn’t dying itself that David was tempted to fear, but more of the knowledge that death hovered. Not knowing how long he would walk the valley, experiencing the suffering and anticipating the inevitable is what I believe he labels as “the shadow.” He refused to fear the potential evil because he knew the safety and comfort of his Savior. As long as he remained close to the Shepherd, he knew that the worst circumstances next to death could be peace-filled. I can’t wait to hear the original melody to Psalm 23 one day in heaven. #nofearjournal #nofear#biblereading #biblereadingplan
Isaiah 8:11-18
Father, this morning I wait for you for my hope is in You. Help me to honor you in every way today for you are holy. Let my fear be transformed into respect for you and you alone. Draw me close when I stray. Thank you, Lord. #nofear #nofearjournal#biblereading #biblereadingplan
And I continue to pray that same pray tonight. We have two days remaining in this month’s challenge. When we finish the reading, I’ll add the final posts to this thread. Choosing faith over fear holds so many blessings, doesn’t it? Happy reading!
By his grace,
Rachel

Jeremiah 17:5-10
When the heat comes. I’ve felt the heat so strong at times that I thought I might faint, but roots have held me fast. ?Roots of believing God. Roots of knowing His Word. Roots of turning to Him at all times.
?Holding fast to God’s Word when disappointment and discouragement strikes= nourishment to build strong roots. ?Strength is built way before the branches are ever long enough to sway in the breeze or the leaves are large enough to shrivel. ?What have you done today to build roots so that fear has no grip when the heat comes?

Psalm 118:1-9
Jesus, this morning I lift up thanks to you for you are good. Your love spans eternity and I can’t wrap my head around it. When I am in distress, I call on you and you set me free. Thank you, Lord. I will not fear because you are on my side. I know that the victory is mine. Amen.
