If this is your first time here, I’m thrilled that you would stop by. Each month I host a Bible reading challenge and each week, I post a review of the key verses we read in the plan during the week. Genesis 28:13-19

The Lord will never abandon me. This truth will never change. Good morning to Day 1 of the #neveralone#biblereadingplan ! Today’s passage of Jacob’s encounter with the Lord is such a beautiful reminder of this fact.

The Lord will never abandon me. This truth will never change. Good morning to Day 1 of the #neveralone#biblereadingplan ! Today’s passage of Jacob’s encounter with the Lord is such a beautiful reminder of this fact. But Jacob’s truth expressed to himself struck me: “Surely the Lord was in this place and I did not know it.” How many times have I looked back and saw God’s hand at work but I totally missed it in the moment? God, let me not be distracted today, but to see you at work in all things. Help me to recognize your presence never leaves me and I am never alone. #neveralonrjournal#biblereadingplan

Matthew 28:16-20

He promises to be with me forever!! Dear God, thank you for being with me. please forgive me for forgetting you are near. Help me to recognize you are ever on the throne. Your Word says that you are always with me and I believe it. Please give me peace. Show me how to sense your presence moment by moment. I praise you for the victory. Amen. #biblereadingplan#neveralonejournal

Isaiah 41:1-10

Father, you are the God who never leaves me and the God who continually helps. Let my faith win over my fear. Give me strength to embrace your strength. Hold me up through each step of today and guide me as only you can. For I need you. #neveralonejournal#biblereadingplan

Joshua 1:1-9

There is no place so dark that God cannot be with you. He is always with you, his child. Wherever this Tuesday takes you, you are never alone. #neveralonejournal #biblereadingplan

Psalm 23:1-6

The valley of the shadow of death. There is no walk on earth that can feel more lonely or fearful. Our family feels that shadow lurking for our Taylor girl. When the words “no cure” and “no treatment” accompany your diagnosis, you know that the valley hovers and it has hovered for many years. I cannot express how thankful I am this morning that He never leaves us to walk alone. Father, thank you for your presence.

Let this Wednesday be wonderful because you are always with us. Amen. #neveralonejournal #biblereadingplan

Jeremiah 23:23-30

Sometimes when we isolate ourselves from others, we feel like God doesn’t see us either. Sometimes when we are ostracized for whatever reason,  we think God is not with us and we are all alone. Today’s passage reminds us that there are no secret places on this earth. Our God transcends space and time beyond our comprehension. Ask Him to draw you into His presence anew today.

Matthew 18:15-20

There is power when we unite our hearts in Jesus’ name! Having someone to pray with is such a beautiful thing. He promises to join us when we choose to join together. What a promise! Have a fab Friday! #biblereadingplan #neveralonejournal

Deuteronomy 31:1-8

I have a fascination with stories of strong women who survived crazy things. I love for my children to be independent and learn how to do things for themselves.

I have a fascination with stories of strong women who survived crazy things. I love for my children to be independent and learn how to do things for themselves. But  in a society that presses for an “I can do anything” attitude, I’m reminded by today’s #neveralonejournaland #biblereadingplan that it is the Lord who goes before me. Without Him, I can do nothing that lasts for eternity. Life would be shallow and meaningless if it all depended on my pulling up of my own boot straps. A. I honestly can’t make it on my own. Neither can you. B. The reason we don’t need to be fearful and anxious is because his strength is ever present. He himself makes a way when there is no way. He opens the doors and shuts the gates. He never walks away or walks out. His love is bigger than any moment of terror, past or present. His power exceeds any discouragement or disappointment. The God of this world is WITH you! It’s going to be a thriving Thursday because you are not alone!!! PS: I was a bit blurry-eyed when I read this morning so I read day 8 instead of day 6! OOPS! Carry on with a thriving Thursday! ? 🙂
