OH I’m so excited to begin the week with my favorite kids’ devotional giveaway! Today I present to you the Jesus Calling for Kids book review and giveaway- deluxe edition! Woohoo!

jesus calling deluxe

Our family is on the third (I think?) year of reading through Jesus Calling for Kids as our morning before-school devotional. I’ve reviewed this fabulous devotional before but this new one has a beautiful deluxe format with a special leathersoft (imitation leather) bind. I just love how sturdy and yet soft the binding is because I know it will hold up so well with heavy use!

Just in case you are not familiar with this best-selling devotional for kids, the devotional is designed for ages 7-12 and I feel confident that the book is age-appropriate. I will add that my children have enjoyed this devotional even at younger ages, as my current 4 year old loves to listen to the older children read as well.

One of the fun features of this book is that the devotional your child reads and the devotional you as the parent will read are the same material. So you can each read your own version and discuss your observations.

What is the purpose of reading a devotional?

I think this question can best be summed up by Psalm 46:10:

Be still and know that I am God.

While I’m continually learning to know who God is, I can’t help but invite you along on the journey and devotionals are a simple, daily way to devote our minds to that next step of pursuing to know God more.

If you’d like to check out the Jesus Calling for Kids deluxe edition, you can find it here. And the Jesus Calling deluxe edition devotion is here. Oh and you should know that you can get it in three fab colors; I just had to show you the covers! To order the specific color, click on the cover.
