Have you ever wondered what it would be like to talk to God, face to face?

What would it be like to have Moses’ experience?

So the LORD spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend.  Ex. 33:11

If you’ve read the 5 Love Languages book by Gary Chapman, then you know that Gary believes all people of the world have a language of love that speaks personally to them. Maybe you highly value words of affirmation and when someone praises your abilities, this praise feeds your soul and brings love to your heart. Words of affirmation would be deemed your “love language.”

Can you imagine how Moses must have felt when he talked to God?

I believe God knew Moses’ love language. After all, He created him and had plotted Moses’ life from the beginning. God knew exactly how to speak to Moses to show His personal, intimate love for him.

God’s love is perfect, but our interpretation of His love is clearly not. We are human and flawed in our ability to comprehend the fullness of God’s love.

However, God personalizes the communication of His love. God reveals His love to people in many different ways.

1. God revealed His love to us by sending His Son to the world.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

2. God shows His love to us by removing our fears.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. II Tim. 1:7

3. God displays His love for us through other people.

By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. Jn. 13:35

4. God provides the Holy Spirit to assist us in recognizing His love daily.

and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Rom. 5:5

5. God clearly reveals His love through nature.

For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made.  Rom.1:20

God’s Word clearly shows us that His love is larger than we can comprehend,  and more than anything He desires a personal, closer relationship with us, His creation.

Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. James 4:8

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom. 8:38&39

Yes, God speaks an intimate love language directly to our souls.

The question is: Are we lstening?
