Psalm 86:1-9
In our #confidenttrustjournal#biblereadingplan this morning, David has written both a song and a prayer in Psalm 86. And this verse speaks volumes to me. Because the person I often need saved from the most is myself. Father, I trust in You all over again today. Thank you for dying on the cross and conquering death that I might have a confident life through You. Thank you for saving me from sin, from death, from Satan and from myself. May today be a day I remember your great love for me for you are more than worthy of my trust. Amen. #biblereading
Psalm 86:10-17
The One who conquered death’s sting can take the sting from broken relationships. The One who wore a crown of thorns provides the crown of life to all who believe and trust. He arose, the Victor over death’s domain. And he lives forever with his saints to reign. He arose! He arose! Hallelujah, Christ arose!! #confidenttrustjournal #biblereading#biblereadingplan
Luke 12:24-31
Dear Monday, You began with problems and seem to taunt me with your overdue projects and a missed deadline. But my Jesus who rose from the dead is as alive today as he was years and years ago. So I’m taking your to-do lists and appointments to the Holy Spirit right now, asking for step by step instructions for this day. On my own, I’m a nervous wreck. But trusting Jesus, I’m a confident creation on a mission. #confidenttrustjournal #biblereading#biblereadingplan
Does worry prevent you from trusting God fully? It’s easy to allow worry to paralyze us and keep us from doing the work God has called us to do. I’ve found the best decision to make when worry threatens to keep me from moving forward is to pray out loud and ask God to help me trust him more. I have never not had this prayer answered! #confidenttrustjournal
Proverbs 3:1-8
Just about my favorite Bible verse. Of course, I’ll say that next week about another one. Point is: Our understanding is not complete. We are finite. We are limited. We cannot comprehend all that God is doing to coordinate the universe, much less the details of our lives. Make it another trusting Tuesday! #confidenttrustjournal#biblereadingplan #biblereading
Isaiah 50:4-11
There are dark places in life. I don’t have to be the one to say it; we all know it. But our God is more than worthy of our trust. I love the word “rely” at the end of this verse. Jesus, I’m relying on you today. Join me? #confidenttrustjournal#biblereadingplan #biblereading
Psalm 91:1-16
When was the last time you told God, “I trust you, Lord.” Without trust, there is no relationship. I’ve been asking myself: What am I gripping on my own when I should be giving it to God? #confidenttrustjournal #biblereading#biblereadingplan
Jeremiah 17:5-18
Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.
He is like a tree planted by water,
that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.
(Jeremiah 7:7&8)
When the choice is made daily, even moment by moment, to trust in the Lord, it grows from a spiritually disciplined decision into a spiritually mature relationship. Muscle memory kicks in and in place of fear, worry, and anxiety, confident trust in the Lord proclaims truth and sustains growth. God is not only worthy of our trust; He is our trust. Have a fantastic Friday knowing that whatever comes your way, your God can be trusted to make it for your good and his glory! #confidenttrustjournal#biblereadingplan #biblereading
