This week’s Women of Faith devotional by Marilyn Meberg discusses how Christians have the choice of “fear” or “cheer.”  What a timely message for me personally, as this morning I read  II Timothy 1:7:

For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Marilyn went on to explain Zephaniah 3:16-18 where the Bible declares “…the Lord Himself is exulting over you in happy song.”   God loves us so much that He is singing over each of us in a song of joy.  Can you imagine?

In the Talk Back section of the devotional, Women of Faith asks:

What do you think about God singing a song about you? How does that make you feel?

What a thought! That God sings a song over me.   Little ole me!  Here we think “America’s Got Talent!”  Imagine the grandeur and gentleness of the voice of our Heavenly Father.  And this song is so personal and so pure that only He could know and understand the depth of its meaning to me.  When I think this over, the joy in my heart swells and I just can’t help wanting to break out into the Hallelujah Chorus all my myself! But since I can’t sing all the parts at once, watch this clip and let your own heart swell with the joy of the Lord!
