bible reading challenge day 74

We landed on Friday, Bible Challenge Readers! I hope you’ll find a minute to check in and know that I am praying for you today.

Yesterday I received an email from a dear one whose heart is hurting so.

Her struggles are common to many of us.

Her pain is frequently born by everyday world-weary travelers.

At times of this nature, I don’t feel that my words can carry enough weight to relieve the soul of such heaviness. My human attempts that will comfort and ease her sorrow are frail and frugal at best. And so tonight as I write, I pray for her. And I pray for you, many of my readers who are enduring heartache and sorrow.

Lord Jesus,

Our souls are weary.

Our burdens heavy.

There is not a time when we don’t need You.

We ask for your grace- to relieve the pain.

We beg for your mercy- to extend beyond our reach.

We cling to your promises- with all we can muster.

We praise You for the clay You shape…

Into the beautiful sculpture

That reveals Your Glory.

Amen.

    1. Hey Madeline!
The schedule is a little different. It would seem that you are right, but I’m just scheduling according to the original reading plan I chose. I chose the plan because of its diversity and yet the passages are somewhat themed. We read OT and NT each day, approx. 4 chapters a day, and we do repeat some books. You are welcome to use ANY reading plan. 😉 Here’s the PDF link if you’d like to print out the plan we are using! https://rachelwojo.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/One-Year-Bible-Reading-Plan.pdf

  7. Still reading with you! Got stuck on the running though due to more snow and then sick kids.

  8. Another week down. Thank you Jesus for the time and perseverance to keep on in the Word! There’s something about reading from 4 books at once that makes this extra enjoyable to read so much. Do you happen to know if this reading plan is on YouVersion?

    1. Yes. It is the M’Cheyne One Year Reading Plan.

      1. Perfect. I did start January 1, so on track. Just sometimes I have my iPod but not my Bible with the printed schedule. This will be helpful when I’m in the car, doctors offices, etc! Thanks! Have a wonderful weekend.

      2. Oh wait – I see what you mean. I’ll see if I can adjust the start date. Or – it at least gives me an idea.

Made it another week! And I made check in way early! I will also be praying your prayer for everyone today! I have received a huge Blessing from God this past week! My Daddy is so much better! The new specialist is great and has his kidneys working better! And my wonderful husband is still cancer free! He is an almost (7 more months) 10 year colon cancer survivor! I give all the praise and glory to our Father in Heaven!

Praying everyone receives and gives God Blessings this week!

    1. So glad to hear that your dad is doing much better. Praise the Lord for that. AND a huge praise to God for your husband’s health also!! Blessings to you, Friend!!

    2. What a difficult time, Justine. Father hold and sustain Justine and her family. I pray for grace, mercy, peace and strength as they walk this difficult weekend. Thank for loving her mom and that she will see you face to face very soon. Be all that they need today, tomorrow, and the days to come.

    3. I will be praying for your mom and your family too Justine.

    4. I am so very sorry. I went through this in 11/2011 and it is the hardest road I have ever had to go through. I will be praying for you and your family.
