At the beginning of each chapter of my new book, One More Step, a phrase from an old hymn is quoted. I grew up singing Christian hymns around the piano with my family. The depth of the hymns’ words came to life for me when I recommitted my life to Christ after my divorce all those years ago. I wanted to share the deep meaning of the hymns with you and that is the reason for the beginning hymn quotes in each chapter.

For more enjoyment, I’m sharing this FREE printable/digital download, The Hymns Behind One More Step. You’ll find more anecdotes like the one above, as well as the lyrics and music to the hymns mentioned throughout the book.

I pray you find this treasury of word and song a beautiful comfort and encouragement to take

one more step.

With much love,

Rachel

  1. Thank you for this Rachel. I’m going through a divorce and have 2 small boys. I struggle everyday it seems trying to find the positive. I’m dreading the upcoming holidays. I’m really struggling with the knowledge that my husband had a girlfriend very shortly after he moved out. I will be purchasing your book today. Your emails have been so encouraging and I too grew up with hymns. They are definately a comfort to me.

    1. Kim, I’m so sorry for what you are going through. Life is hard. But God is good. He’s still on the throne and he sees you and loves you beyond all comprehension. Prayers going up for you right now.
