It’s Friday!! Alright, Bible Challenge Readers- let’s check in and cheer each other on!
Today I’m so excited to share the latest news about my ebook, The Sensational Scent of Prayer- now in paperback! Oops- I’m so terrible about holding on to the punchline. I was so excited I just blurted it on out. Ok, yes that’s the news- The Sensational Scent of Prayer is now available in paperback!! Woohoo!
But I wanted to be sure that you know the story behind the story. Cause as you know, those are just as interesting as the story itself. At least that’s what I think.
Over four years ago, I was pregnant with my Tarah girlie and God placed the Bible story of Hannah on my heart so strongly. I studied and prayed and worked my way through the two chapters of I Samuel and took notes and outlined… You get the idea. That summer, with sweet baby Tarah in my arms or nestled close by, I was privileged to teach the study to a group of women. Over and over, God used these women to confirm that the message was for them- how perfect the timing seemed to be. I came to believe that the summer study would not be the end of my preparation but that God had more in mind.
It wasn’t until last spring that I went for a outdoor run and I realized what God had planned for the study. God always gives me ideas when I run with Him and upon returning from the run that day, I knew that the Hannah Bible study needed to be an ebook.
So I followed through with writing, doing the best I could at the time. And God performed miracles through the release of the ebook, The Sensational Scent of Prayer.
Now the story continues, as several times throughout the last year, I received emails asking for the book in printed form. But finally just a few weeks ago, I was prompted by an email from one of our regular readers to follow through with the process, in addition to my friend, Karen Ehman, giving me strong encouragement to follow through with what the readers are requesting.
So here we are! And I need your help.
1. Could you please pray for me as I head to Boston next weekend to speak on trusting God in tough times? Giving my testimony to these women who are right in the middle of all the hard places I touch on in the book is not an easy thing. May the Lord go before me every step of the way- pray for that.
2. Would you share the news about the paperback release? This book holds a great amount of encouragement to moms of all seasons and walks of life so Mother’s Day week is a wonderful season to discuss the book. To share the news, you can tweet: Did you hear the news that @rachelwojo has released The Sensational Scent of Prayer in paperback? Only $5.99! <---- Click to tweet. I’m all finished requesting favors- now I want to know how I can pray for you today.
