She Speaks Conference

Over three years ago now, March 26, 2010, I wrote a blog post asking for support to attend She Speaks Conference by Proverbs 31 ministries. Simply written, I didn’t understand all the details; I just knew that somehow God was going to take me to She Speaks. Only it didn’t happen in 2010. And it didn’t happen in 2011.

Finally, last year, after waiting on God for two years, I made it to She Speaks as an attendee for the first time. So tonight as I sit and type out the above, my mind is in complete awe that the same girl who felt so strongly that she should be here, is, in fact, not only here attending She Speaks, but I’m speaking at She Speaks. This week! Tomorrow!!

I know I told you this the other day, but God goes above and beyond. He takes our little dreams and visions and then he dresses them all up like my sweet girlie does with her dolls. By the time He’s finished, we hardly recognize our “small” dreams and visions anymore.

That’s what God has done for me through this conference- I don’t even recognize my own plans anymore.

My heart overflows with joy to have the privilege to speak for Him tomorrow. I had planned to post something totally different today, but somehow I believe God just wanted me to share with you, one more time, how much He wants to use us for His glory. I’ll be back tomorrow with a wonderful children’s book review and giveaway that you are going to love! See you then!
