Friday’s here and so is the Bible reading challenge summary for the week! The passages for this week’s reading have been continual reminders to praise God no matter the circumstances. I was also personally reminded to give thanks for the times you know he is working. Let’s check out the summary for the week!
Psalm 34:1-7
I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. v.1 (Sorry for the error on the reference here!)
Continually. Working on this!#praisehimanyway
Psalm 42:1-11
Praise him for salvation! When all seems lost and the world impossible to live in, praise God for salivation- an eternal home in heaven with no tears, no sorrow, no crying, no pain! #praisehimanyway#biblereading
Psalm 71:1-8
I need God. I used to want independence and think I could do life with him in the background. But I’ve learned that keeping him at the forefront and remembering the praise he deserves is a much better way to live. The same holds true when giving him my praise daily. When I place praise as a priority, I find that when storms rise, I can praise him anyway. Still learning this concept but oh the joy it brings!! Thank you, Jesus, for saving me and giving abundant life to live right now, everyday, no matter the circumstances.#praisehimanyway #biblereading
Psalm 71:9-16
David found that the older he became, the more he recognized his need for the Lord and the more he praised the Lord. Experience had saturated his soul with the evident need of the Lord’s strength. And so David praised him more and more. How I long to follow in his steps.#praisehimanyway #biblereading (PS: This photo backdrop is from the Cleveland MetroParks Zoo. The rainforest there is gorgeous!)
Psalm 43:1-5
Living a life of praise is fresh, new and exciting every day because there is ALWAYS a reason to praise God!! I am still in awe of how he turned a situation completely around for me last week! And I’m excited to see what He does today. My eyes are focused on seeing his work. With me? #praisehimanyway #biblereading
Psalm 148:1-14
For his name alone is exalted! (v. 13) When we set our hearts to sing his praise in the morning, it is easier to continue a life of praise throughout the day. For he alone is worthy! #praisehimanyway#biblereading
Psalm 61:1-8
So I ask myself today: Am I faithfully doing what God has called me to do day after day? It’s easy to praise when everything is going well. But day after day when the Lord deserves our praise no matter what, commitment to our vows is required. #praisehimanyway #biblereading
Ephesians 5:15-21
I didn’t understand the role of the Holy Spirit in my life until just a few years ago. What a difference it makes to be aware that God’s Spirit is with us and that awareness alone gives us reason to praise Him! (There are two passages listed on the schedule today by accident. I’m taking it as God’s plan and reading both. ?)#praisehimanyway #biblereading
Ok, Friends. This Bible reading plan to praise God no matter the circumstances has been one I’ll never forget. I’m thinking of doing it again in the future! Sorry for the delay in getting this summary posted. I was working away to prepare for a prayer journaling session on Sunday and got thrown behind with a few urgent issues at home. We’ll continue to work through this plan and I’ll be posting the new Bible reading plan tomorrow so that we can begin on Thursday.
Have a great week!
By his grace,
Rachel

Hi Rachel,
This was my very first bible challenge and I was so blessed and grateful, as I read each verse and wrote in my journal, (this is also my first time journaling) sometimes I forget but I go back and catch up it has kept me in gods word. I had been praying and trying to find time to read, and now I read on my lunch breaks at work and at night before I go to sleep and it has helped. I look forward to September’s bible challenge.
Thank you, blessings,
Margaret
I love this Challenge, though I couldn’t keep up with the last few days; my mind was really bothered by some things.
Here is one of my journal. I think I still have another one but can’t find it yet.
Day 12 of Bible Reading Challenge Luke 1:41-56
Mary went to Elizabeth to hide because of the shame of getting pregnant before marriage. She must have had a lot of fears on her mind as she went. Probably she had rehearsed all she’ll tell Elizabeth and hopefully she will understand and share her pain.
But when she got there it was different. The Spirit of the Lord had been waiting for her, for what she carried in her womb was not just an ordinary baby that should be carried in worry.
So the Spirit of the Lord moved Elizabeth to praise the Lord and afterwards the praise was extended to Mary who in turn realized that she should believe what was told her and everything will fall in place.
She realized worry won’t solve the issue, but will make her weak and she praised God anyway and I believe she did so until she delivered the blessed one; our Lord Jesus Christ.
I have been loving this Bible study, Rachel! So many challenges this month, but my heart would say..Praise Him anyway! Thank you! Will there be a new study for September?
yes, Lori! It will be posted late tomorrow. Blessings!
