God’s Word is alive and active, amen? I am loving this month’s daily Bible reading challenge focused on praise. It really has inspired me to live the message and not just read it.
The Lord answered two prayers requests this morning. Taylor, my special needs daughter, had a rough week, as I reported to you last week. But today (Thursday) she had enough strength to take a shower and I feel like that energized her. I’m excited to see how she is doing tomorrow; I’d love to see her up and moving and downstairs to join the rest of the family. Also the Lord worked in a crazy way today, answering a huge concern I had for yet another dilemma. He completely turned the situation around within a matter of minutes. I can’t tell you how grateful I am and yes, I am learning to praise him before and after I see his work! Let’s take a look at this week’s Praise Him Anyway Bible reading summary week 3.
Luke 1:39-56
Mary sang a song of praise upon receiving God’s calling on her life. Oh that I would lift him up the same way when I realize the work he has for me. Instead of asking God “Who me?”, I want to declare with joy , “He chose me!”#praisehimanyway #biblereading
Ephesians 1:1-11
For every mountain You brought me over
For every trial you’ve seen me through
For every blessing
Hallelujah, for this I give You praise!” I’m off to listen to the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir sing “For Every Mountain.” Every spiritual blessing. Not some. Not a few. Our God has given us every spiritual blessing!! Revel in them today! #praisehimanyway#biblereading
Isaiah 63:7-14
“I will recount the steadfast love of the Lord, the praises of the Lord, according to all that the Lord has granted us…” Isaiah 63:7 Father, today we praise you for waking us up. For life and breath. We praise you for the gift of another day. We praise you for the rain outside and a dry place to comfortably rest. We praise you for an adjustable bed and food to eat. I praise you that Taylor is able to eat this morning. I praise you for coffee. I praise you for your presence with us this morning. That while church worship is beautiful, we can have church no matter where we are. Because you are with us! We praise you for your presence and we praise you for mercy and grace. Amen and amen.#praisehimanyway #biblereading
Psalm 146:1-10
Because even a rainy Monday is a new day from him! Have a great day!#praisehimanyway #biblereading
Luke 19:28-40
The Pharisees were always shushers. The ones who sought to quiet others but never ceased to whisper their own opinions, head held high. I love, love, love to hear about the mighty works God has done in the lives of others. Jesus told the Pharisees to shush in return. The power of praising God is so great that the rocks would have cried out had the people not praised Jesus. Praise him in spite of the shushers who want to whisper words of defeat today! #praisehimanyway#biblereading
Psalm 147:1-11
…for it is pleasant, and a song of praise is fitting.” There is never a time when a song of praise is not fitting. That’s something to think about this rainy morning. #praisehimanyway #biblereading
Psalm 147:12-20
I don’t know about you but I surely do need the entryways of my life strengthened. God, today I’m praising you for strength to make the right decisions at the gates of my mind, heart, and home. May I see your way as the only way. Praise you for this and more on a day when tough situations have already been encountered.#praisehimanyway #biblereading
Have a fabulous Friday and remember to praise him anyway!
By his grace,
Rachel

I have a child who is battling addiction but I will praise Him in this Storm…I have been encouraged by doing this study and your follow ups each week. I believe that God needs to be in the center of my daughter’s life for her to find deliverance, but as my pastor often says…Often times there comes a place where all we can do is…”Trust God”
For your testimonies, your witness, your ministries, your praise, your love . . . For ALL these I say “Thank You! And Amen!”
Taylor is a beautiful child of God. May God Bless her protect her and shine the light upon her. She is loved. Thank you for sharing your time with us it means so much, you are an extrodinary person and I am so grateful for everything you do to encourage and motivate us.
I am so excited to have participated in my very first Bible Reading Challenge! And what a perfect and powerful topic to start off with. When I read through these Scriptures and meditated on them, my heart was lifted, and I realized how important it is to give the Lord praise, even when I don’t think things are going my way. This challenge brought to mind a wonderful song that very much applies to this topic called “Bring the Rain” by MercyMe. A lovely line of the song goes, “And I know there’ll be days/ when this life brings me pain/ but if that’s what it takes to praise you/ Jesus bring the rain.” What an excellent reminder!
Thursday was a breast biopsy…. I will Praise Him while I wait!
