Welcome Friends! I’m only one day late on this week’s Bible reading challenge summary instead of three! I hope you had a great week; ours was jammed full of back to school preparation. I am loving the wonderful Scripture praise reminders for each day in this monthly Bible reading plan. Let’s check out the Praise Him Anyway Bible reading summary week 2! Ready?
2 Samuel 22:1-7
(For those of you who missed it, an email with a new plan and social media posts for this day explained there was an error. 2 Samuel, not 1 Samuel. Sorry!!)
Who is worthy? While it seems to be the political question that floats these days, I’m thankful I know the only One who is worthy of my total praise.#praisehimanyway #especiallyelectionyear#biblereading
Psalm 35:18-28
When I look back over my life and reflect on God’s provisions, I am speechless. Oh how we can praise him for how he has provided! #praisehimanyway#biblereading
2 Chronicles 5:1-14
“It was the duty of the trumpeters and singers to make themselves heard in unison in praise and thanksgiving to the Lord.” Sure, the praise came from their hearts, but it wasn’t an option either. It was their responsibility. Show up. Sing up. Praise up.#praisehimanyway #biblereading how wonderful it must have been to be a part of that first temple service!!!
Psalm 56:1-13
God’s Word speaks loud and clear and his Spirit reveals personal messages to us. This morning I really needed this one phrase :”God is for me.” Because when things are going wrong left and right, I can know that he is not the attacker. He is the Avenger who makes all wrongs right again. Praise him for being the One who is FOR me! #praisehimanyway#biblereading
Psalm 47:1-9
The days when I least feel like giving praise are the days when praise is most powerful thing I can do. I’ve found cranking up the worship music brings my heart to a place of praise! Have a terrific Tuesday! #praisehimanyway #biblereading
Psalm 40:1-5
My old song was a sad one. It lacked energy and joy. The tune was a minor key. But the new song? Abundantly beautiful. The new song is one of praise and thanksgiving and I’m singing it today! You too? praisehimanyway #biblereading
Psalm 63:1-11
His love is steadfast. It never changes and there is no place we can run to out of his love’s reach. It’s bigger than the ocean and higher than the heavens. When we struggle to find praise, oh friends, remember his steadfast, unmoving love.#praisehimanyway #biblereading
And that, my friends, sums up the reading plan for the week! I’m sad to see the summer vacation pass, but yes, the Wojo tribe is ready for a little more structure to the days and weeks. Thank you for praying for Taylor, my sweet special needs girl, on social media yesterday. After having a severe seizure that took her breath for longer than usual and caused her lips and surrounding skin around her mouth to turn completely blue, the Lord gave her breath and she rested well last night. We are truly learning to praise him anyway! See you next week!
By his grace,
Rachel
