“I Still Believe” by Jeremy Camp begins with the author’s humble Indiana childhood and continues through his life to present day. This book will knock your socks off with its open view to the true picture of trusting God, even through grief and sorrow. The major focus of this book is to point others to unwavering faith in Christ in spite of circumstances.
Jeremy endured poverty at a young age and grew up in a family that trusted God to provide for their tangible needs daily. The personal illustrations of his parents’ undeniable belief in God reflect the light of Jesus brightly and also laid a foundation for Jeremy to learn to trust Christ in all things. The author tells his own personal love story of his first wife and how God took her home to be with Him. His honesty in dealing with grief, bitterness, and doubt is raw and real.
I would encourage anyone to read this book, whether a fan of Jeremy’s music before now or not. The story of his life exhibits God’s mercy and grace in time of need and is one that so many can relate to. His testimony to living THROUGH the fire is encouraging and uplifting. It’s a short read (only 145 pages) and you’ll be blessed!
