As you may know, my daughter, Taylor, has a rare terminal illness, MPS. On Sunday, I felt especially blessed when I posted this photo and note:
Our God is greater… Our God is stronger… Our God is Healer… Awesome in power. Taylor made it to#EasteratCypress ! First time to church since November. #praiseJesus
We serve a healing God. He makes all things new and will restore and redeem what is rightfully his, everything in Creation and every story since the beginning of time. God has a very special plan for Taylor’s life, terminal medical diagnosis included. I’m not privy to all the details at this point, but man, when we get to heaven, what a time that is going to be!
Healing Bible Verses
Today I wanted to share with you the healing Bible verses I often pray. Not long ago I received an email from a reader who is battling illness herself AND her mom has cancer. How my heart goes out to people enduring suffering! God’s Word contains the words we need for healing. Every level of healing- physical, mental, emotional, spiritual… the list could continue. Grab on to this Scripture for healing today!
Then shall your light break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up speedily; your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard. Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer;
you shall cry, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’ Isaiah 58:8 &9
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity,
who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Psalm 103:2-5
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of the stars;
he gives to all of them their names. Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure. Psalm 147:3-5
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; Ecclesiastes 3:1-3
Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise. Jeremiah 17:14
Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? Show us your steadfast love, O LORD, and grant us your salvation. Psalm 85:6&7
O LORD, you hear the desire of the afflicted; you will strengthen their heart; you will incline your ear to do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed, so that man who is of the earth may strike terror no more. Psalm 10:17&18
For this people’s heart has grown dull, and with their ears they can barely hear, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them.’ But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear. Matthew 13:15&16
Be gracious to me, O LORD, for I am languishing; heal me, O LORD, for my bones are troubled. My soul also is greatly troubled. But you, O LORD—how long? Turn, O LORD, deliver my life; save me for the sake of your steadfast love. Psalm 6:2-4
Your righteousness, O God, reaches the high heavens. You who have done great things, O God, who is like you?You who have made me see many troubles and calamities will revive me again; from the depths of the earth you will bring me up again. Psalm 71:19&20
Praise him for his healing power today!

This is such a beautiful picture of the three of you. I’m so happy Taylor was able to be with us Sunday. God’s blessings are new every morning. Thank you so much for all you do…you are such an encouragement to all of us at Cypress.
Thanks for these verses. I pinned them for whoever else needs to read them and receive some encouragement.
Thank you for sharing your life with us. I really do treasure your input.
Sad to say, My husband moved to his heavenly home to be with Jesus 2 weeks ago, after battling cancer. We read many of the same versus together but I guess the Lord had other plans. Now I have to read the versus on my own and pray that the Lord WILL heal me from the inside out, I feel so empty at times but then at times I feel such a peace. The only thing that I can hang on to right now is Jesus that He will carry me and my children thru the tough times. My prayers are with you. Love in Christ, Jazmin
Jesus, please be with Jazmin today in a way that only you can. Surround her with your love and let her know that you are close. We pray your Spirit that lives in her temple would fill her and give her the peace that is beyond our understanding. – prayers continuing for you, Jazmin. xo
Jazmin, my boyfriend’s mother passed away last Friday from Septic shock so these verses are well timed because I am going through an anxiety attack because I feel so overwhelmed because I feel the pressure of taking care of my boyfriend and his family during this horrible loss.
What an inspiration you have been to me!! We all have crosses to.carry but.how we do it determines our trust and faith in the Almighty. Your faith and trust are amazing. God bless you and your family and I will lift up Taylor and all of you as I pray today. Love from Belize, Central America
Thank you so much for these! I’ve been battling a “mysterious” non-contagious skin rash for over a year & the drs are stumped. God knows!
And praise The Lord that Taylor was able to attend church!
Thank-you so much for sharing these healing verses.. and I will share them as well… Your family and Taylor are in my prayers!.
