It’s a Tommy Nelson Day! I love being a Tommy Nelson Mommy for many reasons, but one definite reason is the wonderful Christian resources our family is privileged to review. This God Bless You & Good Night book review was a sweet, snuggling experience for my kiddos, as the youngest three gathered with Mom to read the book for the first time.
My two year old was interested in the baby animal artistry immediately. She loves babies and will probably be the one of my bunch to grow up and have a zillion kids. Ok, maybe not a zillion, but you know. The artwork is truly precious!
As the animals in the story snuggle down and prepare for bed throughout the pages of the book, the rhyming words carry a sweet sound to whisper just before little eyes drift off to sleep. The book is designed for ages 1-4 and I believe that is just the perfect age range for this sweet little book.
Several pages in this book hold a starry night sky in the illustrations, so our family thought it would be fun to use the Night Sky app on the ipad just before we read the book together next time.
The book also mentions a night-light glow so another option might be to read the book by flashlight or a lower light setting to enhance the snuggling mood.
I can see this sweet book being a favorite just before bedtime and one that is requested over and over again. But I’m sure none of you ever read the same book more than once.

Hi Rachel,
I don’t have any grandchildren yet, but when I do, this is the exact book if want to share with them. Love following along with your blog.

This sound like a GREAT book to read to my grand children before going to bed. Each night before they go to be either their their mom and dad reads them a bible story or a passage from the bible. When they are at Nana’s I follow their parent’s teaching by continuing story time at bed time. I also think this will be a Great book for my in home child care center. May God continue to use you to spread the Gospel.
A sweet book that I’m sure would become precious memories of a time of love and snuggles! I would love to read it to my grandson. God is good! Blessings
With starting to have grandchildren and also taking care of little ones (newborn to age about 5) in my home, I love having good books to read to and with them. This one looks great and I’m sure they would enjoy having it as part of our reading time.
What a great way to encourage and remind them of not just the love between a parent and child but of God’s love for us all.
Blessings ~
Cindy
