Welcome to the February 2018 Bible reading challenge week 3 summary! Can you believe that we are already three weeks into this month’s True Love Bible reading plan? Last week as I grieved and rejoiced over the homegoing of Billy Graham, the daily Scripture reading on God’s love encouraged me all the more. Why do I post a weekly review? So we can remember and refresh our minds in God’s Word. Ready?
Galatians 5:22-26
Jesus, thank you for the Holy Spirit. Help us listen to his whisper. Change us from the inside out for we need you desperately. May we crucify our own passions and desires to lift up your name alone. Philippians 2:1-11

Colossians 3:8-15
What if I purposefully chose to put on love each day the same way I I choose to put on my shoes or put on my makeup? It is tempting to be filled with fear when we don’t understand the world we live in today. But God has not left us alone. The Holy Spirit dwells in us and we are not powerless. The power of love exceeds any other force and when we forget that love conquers all, that love provided victory over death, then the Spirit whispers his heart reminders. “Nothing shall separate us from the love of God.” #truelovejournal #biblereadingplan

Maybe your love challenge today is a spouse who has distanced themselves. Perhaps it’s a child who continually makes poor choices. Maybe today’s love challenge will be your obnoxious neighbor who is never polite and always pushing their way into everything. I don’t know who your love challenge will be today, but I can guarantee you will experience a challenge. We live in a fallen world that desperately needs Christ’s love. Whose burden will you bear today? Who could receive the gift that you believe in them? Who needs to know that hope exceeding their desperation is available? Who needs to know that you are not going anywhere because Christ did not come down from the cross? Love is action. God, infuse us with your love afresh today that it may pour out on those you place in our paths. #truelovejournal #biblereadingplan
