Hey there and welcome to the Everything Beautiful Bible reading final summary! Now, I know we still have three days (2 by the time I post this!) left in our monthly Bible reading challenge, but I’m making this the final post for the series. I will add in the next couple days of reading once we’ve finished the last day of the challenge. Sound good? Let’s take a peek at what we covered in the reading so far.
Psalm 1:1-6
When your delight is in the law of the Lord, this is the result. I’m working to make his word my delight!#everythingbeautiful #biblereading
Ephesians 2:4-10
You were made for his glory and when you do the good works he has called you to do? Your fulfillment level increases and your joy immeasurable. Work is a beautiful thing. #everythingbeautiful#biblereading
Psalm 27:1-6
To gaze upon the beauty of the Lord was one of David’s utmost desires. The man who is called a man after God’s own heart saw the beauty of God and craved it. Oh that we would have that same craving today. #everythingbeautiful#biblereading
1 Samuel 16:1-7
It’s kind of humorous that the Lord had to tell Samuel to stop grieving over Saul and get up to do his job. That’s how infatuated we get with what we think looks best. May our eyes develop a heart-looking pattern on this first day of the week. #everythingbeautiful #biblereading
Matthew 23:27-39
I didn’t get to post on this day of the reading because I am having phone problems. But it was another clear reminder for me this week that what things look like on the outside may not be what it is on the inside. Only God knows the heart and only he knows the intricacy of his beautiful plan for our lives.
Psalm 72:12-18
In a world saturated by trouble, I’m so grateful God still does wondrous things. Today I crave to catch glimpses of his mighty work. May my eyes be opened toward that. You too maybe?#everythingbeautiful #biblereading
Job 12:7-13
He woke you up this morning because he has a plan for you. As long as you are breathing, life has meaning! Keep your eyes open for #everythingbeautifultoday! #biblereading
I had to share this with you. God answered two very personal prayer requests for me this week. Both of them were huge in my heart and I can’t believe how he worked to show me that he is in control! On top of those answered prayers, on the day I read the above verse, this beautiful rainbow appeared in the backyard! I suppose some would say this is a coincidence. But I believe my personal God was reminding me that he is worthy of my trust, the same as he has been for years upon years before I was ever created.
Psalm 145:1-9
While I was reading today’s passage, this song immediately came to mind. Fills my heart with so much joy! When I Think about the Lord,
How He saved me, how He raised me,
How He filled me, with the Holy Ghost.
How He healed me, to the uttermost.
When I Think about the Lord,
How He picked me up and turned me around,
How He placed my feet on solid ground.
It makes me wanna shout,
Hallelujah,
Thank you JESUS,
LORD, your worthy, of all the glory, and all the honor,
And all the praise… Happy Friday!#everythingbeautiful
For those of you looking for the August Bible reading challenge, it will be live tomorrow! I hope you understand. I truly enjoy preparing the monthly Bible reading challenges, but it does require a chunk of preparation time.
Stay tuned in to God’s Word!
By his grace,
Rachel
