Hey there Friends. Monday is here once more and so is the Bible Reading Challenge check-in.

I have disappointing news to share: I’m behind on the reading. I’m also behind schedule on pinning the graphic to the Bible Reading Challenge Pinterest board AND guess what else?

My house is dirty and the van is filthy. Our family needs to work on fall wardrobes since the temps dropped before I made it to my book deadline. I have so many back burners running that it’s only by God’s grace the stove hasn’t exploded. lol

HOWEVER:

My final manuscript deadline is THIS Thursday and I’m working on the last chapter and final edits before I turn it in to the editor at the publishing company. Praise Jesus! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve prayed and prayed for him to provide the words as I’m typing.

God blesses our small efforts of obedience in a huge way.  So whether you’ve read four chapters a day or two verses a day, it doesn’t matter. He sees your faithfulness and commitment to spend time with him each day and knows your heart. The purpose of reading is to know him, the God of hope, more each day. I’d love to hear how things are going today!

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Romans 15:13

Have a marvelous Monday!

Rachel

  1. Congratulations on finishing the book this week!

I should be caught up this week with my reading. I say should because I left my phone at home today and I usually read on the train on the way to or from work. I need to make time tonite to read for today (assuming 2 little boys give me the time and space to do this).

I love your paragraph about God blessing our obedience. We are going to be doing a bible study about the Bible next year for the ladies of the church. I pinned this post so I can share your words with our group during that study.

  2. Chin up Ms. Rachel, I have full confidence you will get all your “to do” list done. I am behind as well. My hubby surprised me and took me out for the day On Saturday. We toured around Gettysburg, PA. It’s about 45 minutes from where I live. That was such a nice treat. Then came home and had to get ready for our annual church picnic. Then Sunday we had that and by the time I came home I was exhausted being in the fresh air for two full days in a row. My plan is to buckle down today and get caught up LORD willing…

  3. Grace, it’s what He has been showing me lately. I too am behind (and my van is a mess too & laundry is a huge mountain) but this is only a short season 🙂 I also keep reminding myself that He is also growing me & my faith through this. Prayers for you as you finish your book, looking forward to reading it 🙂

  4. It’s okay I’m behind on the reading myself just so many distractions going on inside my head. At least I invested in a new Bible that has the topic subjects in the back.

    1. Thanks a lot for the verse..!!
I’m still new in this website, just joined in yesterday and I’m enjoying being a member already!!

Started reading: “when you’re feeling like giving up” 12 bible verses, last night and it really motivates me and I just wanna be sure where the bible readings are up to?

      Thanks .

      1. Hi Meiva! Here is the link to the beginning post and Bible reading plan: https://rachelwojo.com/daily-bible-reading/ I hope to bring the Pinterest board up to date tomorrow. Right now, in the M’Cheyne Bible Reading Plan, we are on the day that the right sidebar shows. So look to your right at the Olive Tree Bible Reading Plan and it will be up to date. Does that make sense? GLAD to have you! I’m looking forward to rolling out a new way to read beginning Jan. 1st, but we’re going to finish up this pattern this year. 🙂
