This month’s topical Bible reading challenge, Waiting on God, has been great! Each day as I read, I have new thoughts about the process of the wait. Why God’s timing is perfect, why it’s so important to wait for his timing, how the wait is not boring and inactive, and more. Today after reading the passage, I wrote a prayer while waiting on God and thought I’d share it with you.
A Prayer While Waiting on God
Dear Father,
As my Creator, you know me
Even better than I know myself.
Patience doesn’t come easy for me,
As if I have to tell you that.
God, I’m so sorry
For rushing ahead
When your hand hasn’t opened the door.
I’m sorry for complaining of boredom
When being still is much more
Than sitting quietly.
You shape my spirit through the still
And you mold my heart in the quiet.
Only then, am I ready to follow your will.
Will you change my perspective of this season?
Will you rekindle my love anew?
For I know the wait is not without reason;
May it draw me closer to you.
Amen
Whatever season of wait, may you enjoy the gift of his presence.
By his grace,
Rachel

Beautiful prayer. Thank you for that. I needed it today.
This is such a beautiful prayer. Thank you for sharing, your website is such an inspiration.
I have been trying to find the place to download your PDF of the book, “Women of the Bible”. I have found where new subscribers can receive the book. Is it only available to new people on your site? I would really like to have it if at all possible.
Hey Brenda! I’m not sure you didn’t receive one; it is for subscribers and I see that your email is on the list. I’m going to send another copy to you right now. 😉 Enjoy!
Thank you for these emails. I am struggling with my faith so bad right now. I am literally in a really bad place with this. But I am not a baby Christian and I am trying to keep pushing my self toward the high calling. So I am going to print out your reading page and make myself read them all. I just wanted to say thank you for being the woman of God that I see.
Monique
There is work happening in the waiting room, Monique! You may feel at a standstill, but God is doing great things!! Thank you for the encouragement. I fail often; his grace covers. Have a marvelous Monday.
Monique, I will pray for you, dear sister. Keep doing this and get in God’s word as much as you can to grow your relationship with Him. If you draw near to Him, He WILL draw near to you. Ask Him to. Blessings to you! ♥
