True Love Bible Reading Summary Week 2

Happy Friday! Today we take a glance back over the last week of monthly Bible reading challenge passages. Having a focus on the love of Christ this month has been such a blessing to me! I can’t believe we are already over halfway finished with this Bible reading plan. Let’s take a look at the True Love Bible reading summary week 2. Ready?

Psalm 136:1-13

We were created with the desire to be loved. We all want it. Need it. Crave it. And we won’t settle for anything less than a forever kind of love. Oh no, “love you always” is all we want. To think that God loves you and me with a never-changing eternal love? Sure makes me head over heels for him. Psalm 136:14-26

I’m so thankful that true love doesn’t give up in the hard times. Just as the psalmist sings in our #truelovejournal#biblereadingplan today, Jesus loved me in my lowest state. His love truly is unconditional and no matter how disappointed, discouraged, depressed, or despaired you are, his love is there for you, right with you. Deut. 10:12-15

Psalm 5:7-12

The psalmist counted it a privilege to walk through the temple gate because he knew the abundant love of God is how he got there. There’s a quote that says “if God brings you to it, he will see you through it.” I think I would add “by the abundance of his steadfast love,” as the psalmist did in the #truelovejournal#biblereadingplan passage today. Whatever Monday holds, his love will see you to it and through it! Have a great day! #biblereading

It’s my daily reminder. Hanging in the kitchen where I spend a lot of time in service. Where trash needs emptied and the dishes need washed and the floor needs swept. Again. Psalm 25:1-10

All the paths. You may feel like the path you’re walking on this Valentine’s Day isn’t very lovely. And it may seem drab or lonely or frightening. But the Master is with you and he is never going to dump you. He’s so crazy about you that he’s been chasing you your entire life and wants nothing but the very best for you. 1 Peter 1:3-8

I am so glad that Jesus loves me. Jesus loves me. Jesus loves me. I am so glad that Jesus loves me. Jesus loves even me. Oh if there’s only one song I can sing! When in his beauty, I see the great King. This shall my song in eternity be. Oh what a wonder that Jesus loves me! ? ? Ephesians 3:14-21

I cannot wrap my head around why Jesus would love me. I cannot fully grasp the depth of his love for me. But since I know that his love is bigger than I can comprehend, I can experience the foundation of his love for my entire life. There are things in life we can’t truly know until we experience them. I believe it’s the same with Jesus’ love. When we accept Christ as our Savior, we’ve only begun to know his love. That’s why we need to walk with him daily, read his love letter to us, and respond to him and his word. Those are all ways we begin to experience his love! ?? #truelovejournal #biblereadingplan#biblereading

Galatians 5:1-6

In today’s #truelovejournal#biblereadingplan passage, Paul is writing to the church at Galatia. The sweet folks there had differences of opinion on religious tradition versus grace. I can imagine their conversations went something like: “But we’ve done it this way for years!” “No one has ever tried that before.” “You mean grace, Christ shedding his own blood for us, is bigger than any set of rules and regulations?” You see, acting in love continually from a heart filled with love? It’s actually harder for us to do than to keep a bunch of religious rules. Because in order to live out the love of Christ, we must continually be one with him, allowing his Holy Spirit to work in and through our faith to demonstrate that love. Jesus, may your love flow from us today, displaying faith to the world. A faith that is different from all the striving and conniving. A faith that shows your love. Amen. #biblereading
