god is bigger week 4

Welcome to the Bible reading challenge discussion post! Today we are taking a look at the God Is Bigger Bible reading Summary week 4.

Psalm 66:1-9

This passage takes us back to yesteryear in the lives of the Israelites. The psalmist is reminiscing about all God has done for them and how wonderful the miracles he performed in their lives. If he did it yesterday, he can still do it today.

What Red Sea needs crossed in your life right now? God is bigger than the Red Sea.

Psalm 66:10-20

Verse 9 gives us such a great starting point to remember how big God is. "He keeps us alive and does not allow our feet to slip." I don't know what kind of life restoration you need. But no matter what kind you need, I know Who will provide it for you. Just take #onemorestep . Because #GodIsBigger

I kept working and thinking on yesterday’s passage because I think we miss out on so many wonders of God. Verse 9 gives us such a great starting point to remember how big God is. “He keeps us alive and does not allow our feet to slip.” I don’t know what kind of life restoration you need. But no matter what kind you need, I know Who will provide it for you. Just take#onemorestep . Because #GodIsBigger

Jeremiah 10:10-16

Some days on the mountain by my dad's farm, puffy clouds hang so low that it seems I could reach up and touch them. Jeremiah shares with us: "He makes lightning for the rain,and he brings forth the wind from his storehouses." When things seem out of control, God is always on control.

I had a very out-of-control week this week. I won’t bore you with the details, but on Monday, I wrote to the prayer team for One More Step and asked them to pray that God would work graciously and Satan would be defeated.

"When He thunders, the waters in the heavens are in turmoil. And He causes the clouds to rise." What cloud are you needing lifted tonight? The living God has it all under control! #GodIsBigger #onemorestep #journalingbible #biblejournaling

Isaiah 45:1-7

I am the Lord, and there is no other, besides me there is no God;

Favorite verse from this passage:

I am the Lord, and there is no other, besides me there is no God;

Isaiah 45:8-14

It's so useless to try to do good on our own without God. I've tried that approach in the past- thinking that I could just give myself a pep talk and all would be well. "For I am God,and there is no other...Righteousness and strength is only in the Lord." I am so encouraged to run straight to the Source this morning. Ditching my pep talk and grabbing a prayer walk.

Isaiah 45:15-19

The ESV reads:

he did not create it empty,
he formed it to be inhabited!

I love that exclamation point! Because the God of universe is not a distant God who is uninterested in what is happening with his creation. He wants to be in a relationship with us daily, growing and thriving.

Isaiah 45:20-25

The God who created the universe did not go through forming, making, and establishing this earth for it to be empty. Neither does He want your heart to experience the same. "When you feel empty, it's like a piece of your soul is missing....Emptiness of soul can only be replaced by the fullness of God." -#onemorestep Might I encourage you to fill up through spending time with Him today? #biblereading #biblejournaling #GodIsBigger #journalingbible

Monday, August 31, is the last day for the God Is Bigger Bible reading plan, so  I will post the summary of the month on Monday for today through Monday. So that the new monthly Bible reading is available, I’m posting it tomorrow! Can’t wait to share it with you!

Have a fab Friday!
