A gift from a friend came in the mail on Friday and it spoke one of my love languages- a book. “Love Does” by Bob Goff had been lightly discussed by the two of us and I could hardly wait to delve into it. So glad it arrived on a day I could squeeze in time to read. Within the first chapter, I was hooked. The book wasn’t just intriguing; it was arresting. Being the blonde version of Belle, I kept my nose in the book as much as possible, both laughing and crying through the pages. Mostly laughing.
I could give you all the logistical facts, outline the highs and lows, or provide a full-fledged dissertation and analysis.
But since being straightforward and forthright is a little more in my lane and completely in the style of the book, I’ll just say: You MUST read this book.
Essentially, I was challenged to do LESS thinking about Jesus and more doing what Jesus would do. Now just how that shakes out, I can’t tell you in every detail and neither does Bob Goff.
But I can tell you that reading this book will confront your religion and arouse your faith.
I’m so happy you shared this! It is on my list… next book in line! ~ Blessings Girl, Amy
You are so right. I love this book. I appreciate Bob and his take on life. Ultimately the things that last forever are God and people. Living more moment to moment and getting bogged down with the endless planning is definately the better option for me.
