How Deep the Father’s Love for Us

Ever wake up with a song in your heart? Then it plays over and over in your mind the entire day? Today was one of those days for me. I finally googled the song, thinking it was an old hymn. To my surprise, it was written in 2003 by Stuart Townend. The volumes spoken by the lyrics in this song completely overwhelm my soul.

God turned His back on His Son for the sinners we have been, are and will be. The blood of His only Son is our salvation, paying for our past, present and future sin. John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” He loves us so much that not even His love for His own Son would separate Him from us. His sacrifice was beyond great.

And yet, we get caught up in our lives and forget Him. We get discouraged and fail to realize His Almighty love for us. Nothing, NOTHING, can separate us from His love. Romans 8:37-38: “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.   For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

So whatever it is you are facing, remember His love for you. The scope of it is beyond our imaginations.

Here’s Phillips, Craig & Dean with “How Deep the Father’s Love for Us.”
