Shaking up a boring faith.
My pastor frequently says:
I was bored growing up in church, but that’s not the case here. 🙂
I guess I’m stealing his statement to apply to this book.
The author delves into raw honesty about the every day hum-drum of ordinary life from the get-go. While the language of the book reflects its juvenile nonfiction category, the heart of this book is good for young and old alike. Real life stories of ordinary people exercising their faith are splattered through the book and between the stories and follow up principles, there are journal questions and spaces to work on following through with the lessons learned.
What does a radical, living relationship with God look like?
How does the Bible help you hunger and thirst more for God?
The answers aren’t magical, but practical and sound.
I found this book to be fabulous refreshment on being alive in my Christian faith and excited about God’s plan for my life. I would HIGHLY recommend this book for teen girls and suggest it for college-age girls.
