Last week our family took a five hour trip one way and I was so very thankful to have this wonderful DVD set to preview for my readers. Max Lucado and Tommy Nelson bring us a fabulous 2 classic Hermie episodes with the emphasis that following the rules is the best way to go! Â While the target age group for this DVD is ages 4to7, my younger crew, ages 13 months, 3, 6, 8, and 10, all enjoyed this set. Â (Ok, they were buckled in the van, but still… ;))
I do have to tell you that a wonderful side effect from watching these DVD’s, at least for my crew, was some very awesome, respectful behavior. 🙂 In fact, I think we’ll go pop one in right now.

I’m not joining the raffle–just wanted to say that we have this DVD and the kids love it. Being home, I usually end up being the enforcer. We don’t have the rules posted, but I should do that. Will also work on the reward system. 🙂
With 9 children we have to do what works best with each child-they are all so different!
My kids get treats of their choice within reason. We might go to a special fun place of their choosing. No rule chart yet, but working on it.
We don’t have rules posted yet. But I am working on a canvas board right now. I am creating rules and using some mod podge and scrapbooking paper to make the board unique and beautiful for the home. I looked at rules on boards that they sell at stores and some of them I didn’t like, the wording was off, or some of the rules didn’t really apply to us. So, I thought, the best thing to do is make something completely custom to our home. So excited to almost be done with it!

We don’t really have any posted rules, but the expectation is to love God and love others.
If we’ve had an especially good day I usually have some kind of “treat”… since it’s hot now it might be stopping for ice cream, or an inside special might be watching a movie together (their pick) or playing their favorite game, etc.
Can I get ice cream? 😉
