Before we head too far into the week, let's glance back at the passages we've read over last week. Why is it so important to review what we read? To retain it! After all, the purpose of reading is to be changed! I've experienced changes in my heart over the course of this Bible reading plan and I pray you have too

Welcome to the With Thanks Bible reading challenge week 2 summary! Wow- time certainly has flown; we’re already on day 20 of this challenge today. Before we head too far into the week, let’s glance back at the passages we’ve read over last week. Why is it so important to review what we read? To retain it! After all, the purpose of reading is to be changed! I’ve experienced changes in my heart over the course of this Bible reading plan and I pray you have too. Here we go:

Psalm 107:10-21

I don’t know about you, but God has brought me out of some deep darkness. The shadow of death has haunted and taunted me. Disappointments have tempted me into despair. Disease has tried to chain my family. But His Love never fails. His love flooded light into my darkness and chains burst wide open. So very grateful to God!! Thank you, Lord!

Psalm 107:22-31

Jesus, there are so many different kinds of storms we face today. But we are so thankful that no matter the storm, you are in control! And you calm all the storms of life, even in the midst of them. Your peaceful presence is all we need. Thank you for it.

Psalm 100:1-5

Monday has arrived! It’s the first day of the work week and we have the privilege to serve our God. We can choose gladness or gloom on this Monday. While gloom seems more prevalent in this world, I’m choosing a gratitude attitude this morning! You too?

1 Timothy 4:1-5

Everything created by God is good. God crafted you uniquely and you are his masterpiece. Today you can accept yourself, even the flaws, because God made you and continues to work on you. Everything, yes, every single thing he has made is good. So when you look in the mirror this morning, say “Thank you, Lord, for making me me. Thank you for your good work in creating my life and help me choose to see this good day because you made it

Colossians 3:12-17

A thankful heart ushers in peace. Imagine that! What if we stopped noticing our differences so much and started appreciating them instead? What if we stopped nitpicking over preferences and started embracing God-given personalities? To whom could you express your thanks today?

Isaiah 12:1-6

Freedom from fear is found in the strength of the Lord. I’ve been tempted to fret this week; I’m guessing you have too in some way, shape or form. But when I begin to thank God for salvation and recognize the depth of his love for me, my heart begins to sing and fear begins to vanish. What could one word of praise and Thanksgiving do for your heart and soul today?

Psalm 69:29-34

I woke up with the words “I've got an old church choir, singing in my soul I got a sweet salvation, and it's beautiful I got an Old Church Choir singing in my soul…there ain’t nothin gonna steal my joy! No, there ain’t nothin’ gonna steal my joy!”resounding in my heart. Maybe in thanks to a sweet young girl who has caused many of us to remember the purity of those words? (Did you see her video? If not, you must!) Happy Friday!

What a week it has been! Doctor visits and testing and issues, oh my! But tonight I’m pausing to give thanks for a clean body and a clean bed. As well as a few moments to clear my head and heart. My #Thankfulthree are: 1. Physical provision= dinner 2. Beautiful person? My sisters. 3. Time together. This month’s #withthanksjournal and #biblereadingplan is such a blessing!! #
