Today I’m guest-posting for my awesome friends at What’s In the Bible?. I hope you’ll stop by their blog and take a peek to find 5 Practical Tips for Hurting Families during the Holidays. (Post goes live in the afternoon on 11/14)
However, you know I love to give away awesome books and media and What’s In The Bible? is just that. Today’s giveaway includes 2 copies of Why Do We Call It Christmas? DVD’s. Last Christmas our family watched this DVD for the first time and it truly is a terrific family experience. My then 10 yr. old son wrote a paper at school about Christmas; the paper was 4 pages. He told me what he wrote about and funny thing, he described it all, then said: “Basically everything I learned about Christmas from What’s in the Bible?”

I just looked at this the other day at the Hearts at Home conference and thought it would be great for the kiddos. Thanks for the giveaway!
I would love this for the kids!
Every night we read the Jesus Storybook Bible and also use that at Christmas. We have general conversations as Christmas nears about how Jesus is the reason we celebrate Christmas. We are really trying to teach our kids that it’s not about us…but about Him!
My girls just turned 4 so this will be the first Christmas where we can really start talking about the true reason for the season…but we have always read to them from their Toddler Bible.
We have an old Advent calendar that used to my hubby’s when he was a boy that is a BIG favorite. We’re also using The Jesus Storybook Bible Advent Calendar – love it!
We use the bible and other stories for kids
We do Advent crafts and activities.
My daughter just turned 4. We talk a lot about it, read stories and watch movies. We try and not focus on Santa but on the season.
Nothing special, just the Bible, books, and giving to others.
This looks great to share during our Thanksgiving get together!
We’ve used the “What God Wants for Christmas” set. Had a birthday party for Jesus. Nativity decorations. Bible story. Christmas play
We use an advent ornament kit that explains all the names of Jesus. Each day you hang a new ornament on the tree.
Making a shoebox into a manger and adding yarn for the straw and a doll for the baby Jesus.
We have used the Bible.
Looks interesting. Hope you are having a great week!
We use the Bible, books, music and going to nativity displays.
My boys want this video for christmas
We use books and a toy nativity to teach about Christmas. This movie looks so cute!
Books and nativity
We use the Bible and other books from our home library.
Thank you for the giveaway! I would love to win this! We also do a couple variations of advent along with Veggie Tales and tons of classic Christmas books
And the Bible of course!
I use the Bible and a nativity set but my kids love What’s in the Bible
What a lovely idea. Thank you!
We have an “advent” book, with a story, song and scripture for each day, starting on the first. We also do secret santa and other service.
My kids would love this!
We love the What’s in the Bible DVDs. I didn’t realize they had Christmas ones too.
Awesome giveaway!!
We have used the Jesse Tree Advent book in the past and are trying Truth in Tinsel this year. We have never seen a What’s in the Bible movie before but have heard such great things!
We make a birthday cake for Jesus on Christmas every year.
I’ve been hearing wonderful things about these DVDs. I’m overly excited at the possibility of winning one
God Bless! x
Thank you for a great giveaway opportunity. Have a fabulous week
We have a birthday party for Jesus every Christmas Eve. In our daily Christmas activities we try to talk about the true meaning of Christmas. My 7 year old loves the 2 dvds from this series that she’s seen. This one looks good too!
