Welcome to the Friday meetup! It’s the True Love Bible Reading Challenge Week 3 Summary and we’re about to check out the reading for the week together. I truly enjoyed the passages this week and felt like they were resonating with me.

Deut. 10:12-15

Verse 12 seemed the central element of this passage when I read this last Friday:

And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the Lord your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul.

Fear, live, love, and serve. Sometimes highlighting the action words of a verse will offer a condensed version of the verse.

Psalm 5:7-12

Just as David entered the temple through the steadfast love of God, so we have the privilege of relationship with him through his love. What a beautiful thought to center the day! #truelove#biblereading

Psalm 25:1-10

His path is love because he is love. As we enjoy this day, may we know the #truelove and walk his path. As my pastor mentioned this morning, actions trump words when it comes to love. Let me encourage you to say it like you mean it and then do something to show it today!#truelove #biblereading

1 Peter 1:3-8

I paused this morning to remember some of the verses we have read since beginning this month of#truelove . We loved because he first loved us. God is love. Faith is believing God though we have not seen him face to face. But his fingerprints are everywhere. “I stopped asking God:where are you in all this? And I started asking: Will you reveal yourself to me?” – #onemorestep Are you looking for the evidence of his love in your life? #biblereading

Ephesians 3:14-21

Oh the deep deep love of Jesus! It cannot be measured or weighed. His love supersedes our ability to comprehend. Our #truelove #biblereadingfor today is Ephesians 3:14-21. Don’t miss it!

Rooted and established in love. Oh if we don’t begin to grow love from the roots upward, what kind of foundation do we have? #truelove #biblejournaling#bibleartjournaling #illustratedfaith

Galatians 5:1-6

On a day when I wake to a bigger to-do list than hours on the clock, this verse couldn’t be read at a more needed time. For if everything I do is first poured through this sieve, the list won’t matter. Only love. Jesus, help us live it today. It’s so easy to view our daily work in the wrong perspective. May your love filter and permeate our lives through each moment. Amen. #truelove #biblereading

I’ve been stuck on this verse today. All day. It was a personal reminder to me today. Galatians 5:6b Artists beware! This was my first try at using watercolor pencils. Ever. A. I do not foresee ever using these in my journaling Bible. The pages are thin and I want to be able to see every page in my Bible. That’s just me! B. I don’t have a ton of patience. So this was a test and I rushed. Every creative knows you can’t rush the process. But this allowed me to push beyond my current scope of knowledge and try something new. There is always something thrilling about that.#bibleartjournaling #biblereading #truelove#noteworthytruth

Galatians 5:22-26

Do you think it was purposeful that Paul listed love as the first evidence of the Holy Spirit living inside one’s heart? I am thinking “yes.” May our fruit be evident today, Jesus! #truelove #biblereading

  2. I am moved to thank you also. I spend my Saturday morning reading what I did not get to or rereading the passages again and your summaries. Not growing up reading the bible, this helps me put much of it in perspective. And it truly quiets my heart and places me in a much better place for the day.

    1. The power of God’s Word cannot be measured.Isn’t it incredible what a difference it makes in one day alone? Blessings to you,Kathy!
