 bible reading challenge day 95

Congratulations Bible Challenge Readers! We made it to Friday once more! I’m so proud of you for sticking it out so far. Let’s keep going and continue to encourage one another- remember that no matter where you are in the journey, the overall point is to read God’s Word daily to draw closer to Him. Don’t worry about the chapter you are on or if you are behind on the schedule, just give God the opportunity to speak to you daily through His Word. In the mean time, here are 10 ways to get a Bible. If you need one in a pinch or you know someone who needs one, here ya go:

need a bible

Today I wanted to give you a list of ways to get a Bible. What if you don’t own a Bible? What if you are not at home and forgot your Bible?  What if your smartphone is dead and you can’t read your app?  Let’s see how many resources we can access in order to read God’s Word, ready?

1. Local churches

Any Bible-believing local church would love to provide a Bible to you if you need one. Simply inquiring is typically all it takes.

2. FREE Bible apps for smartphones

Here’s a list of 4 Fabulous Bible Apps I Recommend. Choose a version and go for it.  Not sure which Bible version to choose?  Here’s a list to help you decide which Bible version might work best for you.

3. Gideon Bibles at hotels

Gideons place Bibles in hotel rooms for your use.  You are welcome to take the Bible with you when you leave without asking the hotel- the Gideons encourage this if you need a Bible.

4. Online Bibles

These Bibles require an internet connection and can be used for free. Besides offering different Bible versions, these sites also offer the Bible in many languages.

youversion.com

blueletterbible.org

biblegateway.com

biblestudytools.com

biblesearch.americanbible.org/eng-GNTD/Gen/1

5. FREE Bible Software for PC

BiblePath.com offers a free download of the King James Version for your computer.

6. Bible Senders

BibleSenders.org offers to mail a free Bible to anyone who truly needs one and can’t afford it.

7. freebible.org

Currently freebible.org offers an English NIV New Testament to anyone who needs a Bible.

8. FREE Bible for PC from Olive Tree

My favorite Bible app and now- I can sync my notes, etc with the software.  When I don’t have internet access, I can still use my laptop for Bible study and then sync up my account so that the Bible app on my phone has all my study time work. Pretty awesome huh? Available for PC or MAC.

9. BibleExplorer

A free Bible Study software- I did download this, but haven’t had much time to try it out. Would love to hear about it if you use it! Available for PC or MAC.

10. Retail  or Online Stores

Walmart and many other retail chains carry Bibles in their book departments. The NIV Gift Bible is typically priced around $6. Amazon also carries it for used prices beginning at $2.99 and sometimes includes super saver shipping.

No matter who or where you are, owning a Bible is a treasure. My hope is that one of these resources will be a good fit for you to obtain your very own copy of God’s Word so that you can grow in your relationship with Him.

Do you know of any resources for obtaining Bibles? I’d love to read about them in the comments!
