I cannot believe how much I am enjoying working through the Pure Joy Journal to accompany this Bible reading challenge! The way the Lord has worked in my heart just through the first week of the Pure Joy Bible reading plan has been incredible. At the end of last week, Friday was a joy-challenged day for me. I won’t go into all the details, but I had 5 family members who were sick and needed my attention all at once with various issues. I was disappointed that their needs had to supersede getting this post out to you faithful folks and the whole weekend was a blur. But God. Each day the Bible reading spoke directly to my heart as I lifted my eyes to the Lord and His Word. So very grateful!! And thank you for understanding why this post didn’t make it up on Friday.
Let’s check out the Pure Joy Bible Reading Summary Week 1!
Clap your hands, all peoples!
Shout to God with loud songs of joy! What a wonderful way to begin the new year in the #purejoy #biblereadingplan . Our God is king over all the earth and this gives us a reason to sing! #biblereading
1 Peter 1:3-9
When our circumstances make it difficult to see God’s work with human eyes, we can still rejoice for the living hope Christ has given us through the power of his resurrection! Now if that doesn’t start the new year off right! #purejoy#biblereadingplans #biblereading Day 2
May the God of hope fill you with joy! If I could have one wish for you, it’s this very thing: #purejoy. It can’t be bought or sold. True joy cannot be bottled or contained. It won’t be snuffed out when tough times come. Because the Holy Spirit lives inside of you, Christian, every day! Have a terrific Tuesday! #biblereadingplan#biblereading
In our #purejoy#biblereadingplan today, the people wept as they heard the law. I believe they were completely overwhelmed because they knew it would be impossible to keep the law on their own. But Nehemiah reminds them they are not on their own. And neither are we! So let’s take Wednesday by joy storm! #biblereading
O LORD my God, I cried to you for help,
and you have healed me.
O LORD, you have brought up my soul from Sheol;
you restored me to life from among those who go down to the pit. Reasons to rejoice this Friday morning and every morning. #purejoy #journaling #biblereadingplan#biblereading
Alright Friends! That sums up the first week. What did you learn? I’d love to read about your Bible reading experience and your journaling experience as well!
By his grace,
