New Year Bible Reading Challenge

Last week, I briefly shared that I am challenging myself to read my Bible through this year.  This is not the first time I will have accomplished this challenge, but it has been a few years since I’ve been focused enough to do it.

As you know, one of the best measures to insure you accomplish a goal is to have accountability.  Having you come alongside me in this challenge isn’t just for you- it is for me also.  I need you! So collaboratively,  let’s do this together!

Each day at the top of my post for the day you will see the day’s reading.  Day 1 will be Jan. 1, 2013. It will look something like this:

Each Friday, we will have a roll call.  I’d love it if you will let us know each Friday how you did with the prior week’s reading and if there is anything we can do to encourage you by leaving a comment! And if you are a blogger, we will have a link-up available to post from your reading of the week OR any encouraging post.

And…I’m planning some awesome giveaways, at least monthly, to assist in keeping the inspiration going!

Here’s the link to the FREE printable download for the Bible reading schedule we are using.  You can also find it in the Goodies section in the menu above.

So who else is in?  We’d love to have you join us!

Would love to do this. I’m very busy with school this year but I place great value on my time with the Lord, this will be a great way to keep accountable. :)

Pray for me…I’m in the word…but I have never finished this challenge! Homeschooling mom of four. Enough said! I’m not making excuses–just offering background info. I am eager to not only finish the goal, but to be transformed by it!
    Every Blessing!

Stacy, I’m right there with you. I’m 43 years old and a bit embarrassed to admit that I have never read the entire bible through. This is a wonderful time to do this!

  11. Erin says

I’m in…I teach full time, so I do really well during the week because of my routine. The weekends and days out of school are when I struggle most.

Sooo excited to start this. Will try to get our ladies’ group at church to participate too! Accountability is key to success……it’s too easy for me to get lax and make excuses…….and once you get behind it’s hard to catch up!

  14. Velia says

I am going to try this. I also try to start by eventually just give up. Thank you for the challenge.

  15. Nancy Cole says

This has been my New Years resolutions for the past 4 years and I have NEVER made it through to the end. Praying God is not disappointed in my not finishing, by pleased in my willingness to try yet again. He is ever forgiving and faithful to me!!!

Beginning a few days late but I have caught myself up and look forward to seeing it through this year!
