Monday is here! My laptop crashed suddenly two Fridays ago and I know it's a little crazy, but I woke up Saturday morning crying. The book proposal that I've spent about 50 hours writing so far was not backing up online as I thought it was. So I'm praying right now for a data recovery and for God to preserve the words he has given me for future sharing. I've also been a little MIA online because our family's desktop computer is old and doesn't function well at all. It appears that my laptop won't be returned to me until next Monday at the earliest. I felt pretty alone and frustrated for about two days, but the passages this week have been exactly what I've needed to remember his presence! Maybe you too? Let's check out the Never Alone Bible reading summary week 1.

Genesis 28:13-19

I see God's promise to Jacob boiled down to "I am; you go." Is there somewhere I'm afraid to go, something I'm not doing because I forget the I Am is with me no matter where I go? I love the second promise further down in the passage :" I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you." Do we think God is going to abandon us midstream? No way! I was convicted by Jacob's response: "Surely the Lord was in this place and I did not know it." How many times have I completely missed what God was doing because I wasn't looking for him? Jesus, open our eyes. May we be aware of your presence today. #neveralone #biblereading Day 1 of the new monthly reading plan!
