Each month, the Bible reading challenges bless me greatly and the May Never Alone challenge was no different. I can't relate very well to those of you who live alone or spend a great deal of time alone. At my house, I'm rarely home alone. But I can tell you that there have been many times in my life that even though I was surrounded by people, I felt alone and even lonely. The Scripture reading this month has reminded me time after time that I never need to feel alone! Let's check out the Never Alone Bible reading challenge final summary.

Zephaniah 3:14-20

The Lord is right in the middle of your presence. His love will quiet the fears of your heart like no one or nothing else can. I pray that you spend your Sunday knowing this fully. #neveralonejournal #biblereadingplan#biblereading

1 John 3:18-24

The storm last night prompted thoughts from the #neveralonejournal#biblereadingplan . How thankful I am to know the God of the universe who loved me and gave himself for me! How thankful I am to have the Holy Spirit showing me the way! Have a beautiful Memorial Day remembering those who, though no longer here, have impacted your life! #biblereading

Psalm 72:12-20

An opportunity lies before us today and each and every day. We get to choose whether or not we will enjoy knowing our God intimately and closely or ignore him. We get to choose how much of his glory we allow to flow through our veins, reviving our hearts and revealing itself to the world. We get to choose whether we will be a part of the most glorious exhibit of the universe- shining His light brightly or blending into the darkness, even hiding our lamps. I'm so thrilled for today's choices. Jesus, may I be your vessel today. It won't be easy but your power in me is greater than anything on my path today. Lead me and guide me, Jesus. Help me recognize that you are always with me. Amen. #neveralonejournal#biblereadingplan #biblereading

Not long after One More Step was published, the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart. It was pointed and deliberate. It was not a thought I would have come up with on my own. "Rachel, whose book do you want read more? Mine or yours?" Y'all when God puts it that way, you hit your knees and bow in repentance and awe. I want you to read my books, no lie. But I can tell you straight up that there is no book like the Holy Word of God. That's why you'll find Scripture in every chapter of One More Step and why I am so determined to follow the Lord with this yearlong project of Bible reading plans & journals. Don't read my words. Read His. They are life-changing, faithful and true for eternity. I am so blessed to have the opportunity to share these plans and journals with you. To Him be all the glory, praise and honor. Psalm 27:1-10

Today is the last day of the #neveralonejournal #biblereadingplan and what a beautiful passage to end this month-long study! People will let you down. As if I need to tell you that. The people you love the most can be the most humanly hurtful to you. Some families have been estranged for years because of their own humanity. It's not God's plan, but the enemy makes it his. If brokenness has gripped your family in this way, remember that the Lord has never left you. He is chasing after you with a persistent love, longing for the closest relationship he can have with you. You are never alone. Rest in him. Have a wonderful Wednesday knowing the God of the universe is crazy about you!

  1. These verses are deeply encouraging! I literally just finished writing a post this evening entitled “Never Alone,” then I checked Pinterest & found this post.

I was also tremendously convicted when you shared what the Lord spoke to your heart and asked if you were writing your book or His. As a writer myself, it was a very timely and much-needed reminder because I’m in the midst of planning my first book. Thank you 🙂
